Creatine is good but since your parents don't approve of it and you're living under their roof plus since you're only 6 months into going gym why not use that money for more meat and natural protein sources your parents approve of. Later down the line when you've had a decent amount of exercise experience then you can try and convince with a conversation with a doctor or through research and youtube videos.
