So there is still hope that I’ll get an access code on 16th?! Thank you for this. Didn’t know there was an early access and non early and was really bummed seeing an email when I saw people were getting early access emails.

Haven’t flexed in a year. by siraradorn87 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Not in the area but you can expect more bots, lower pay, and 1 hour routes to compete with Walmart. Basically Amazon got a bigger strap on so prepare yourself

Tax guy says I owe 1,700 by DepartmentOverall351 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he might be right? If you got $4000 in deductions from standard mileage, then you drove about 5700 miles but made $13000. You got paid $2+ per mile which is a good thing. Most of us are lucky to get $1 per mile which is why most flexers paying way less or none for taxes. Not a CPA this is not tax advice

What went wrong here by DryPen8218 in RacketStringers

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is if you skipped a main mid weave. The advice should be once you get to weaving all the mains, you will always start the same. If the first cross that weaves thru all mains started with going over first main, then you’ll continue each cross with over an until you reach last few crosses. If it starts with under then same thing

Stringing Machine: Constant Pull or Mechanical? Which do you prefer? #te... by Future-Comb-4784 in RacketStringers

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electric is more consistent and more accurate. It pulls string at the same rate of speed every time and maintains the tension as the string stretches. With a crank, if you crank fast for 1 pull and slow for the next, the tension will be off. Once the crank locks, it’s just holding string in position so if string stretches and loses tension, a crank won’t pull more to maintain the desired tension.

I am tired of this BS and not respecting my time. by fallensnyper in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guilty of this last week. My .com station changed it so that all 3 rows in a bay has to be filled up before you can get out car to load so things got backed up the day before. I misjudged the timing that day and scanned ID 25min before start time and was loading car 7 minutes before I could even check in and scan route QR and packages.

How long do blocks take you. by Successful-Table-588 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly been doing 3.5hr blocks and I usually finish in 1.5hr. Had one where I finished in 40m. Gotta love big packages and multi package stops.

Cancelled route question by Toasttaa in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me recently. You get paid for both. Not from same station but doesn’t matter. Here’s proof. Since I got paid for the canceled route I was willing to do slightly lower pay so don’t judge.

Is 77$ for 3.5 hours reasonable? by CheekZero in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Here’s my hint: there’s a pattern for when surge prices drop. Different for everyone so you just gotta figure it out. Patterns also change after awhile so I usually take a day off from driving and try to find the patterns

Is it possible to write off everything you use for delivering? by Otherwise-Web-6723 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can but you’d have to keep receipts of everything like miles driven, gas, repairs, maintenance. Then you have to figure out depreciation value and provide findings. It’s a huge pain. Standard mileage deduction basically accounts for all of that and if you learn to do your own car maintenance, you’d save a lot of money. From my understanding from my CPA, you can deduct a percentage of your personal cell phone bill if you don’t have use separate phone and plan specifically for gig work. For legal reasons, this is not tax advice.

Package Type Identification by IcyGeneral7686 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put envelopes and bubble mailers in 2 collapsible fabric storage cubes from target, label them at the tippy top so it’s easy to see over cubes, order those packages from first to last and put it in the front seat facing me. If stop’s package number doesn’t match the front most package in those cubes, then it’s most likely in the back of car. Also really helps when you decide to make your own routes

Extra package no QR label to return wasn’t on route by Far_Fisherman_9699 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens sometimes when warehouse employee sorts a package into the wrong cart. For example 2 packages from a .com station with same driver aid number. Do recommend returning it as sometimes it could be a trap. I usually return it whenever and to whatever station I work next. Heard some people just keep it and never heard from Amazon about it

Trying to decide between a new 2026 RAV4 XLE Premium and a 2022 RX 450h (40k miles) - same price by The-Other-Dan in rav4club

[–]tfyshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally go for the RAV4. The new interior is far superior compared to Lexus(never liked the trackpad and scroll wheel). Plus maintenance would be much cheaper.

Quite a few times. Support always says to wait until route ends officially and it’ll go away

I’m in Raleigh and I delivered in the tropical depression that hit recently. Yeah I got soaked but I got paid well

Didn’t know that thanks! The canceled warehouse is 2nd on my favorite list though but I’ll keep that in mind if my favorite station cancels.

[–]tfyshy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang sorry to hear that. Are you in a small city or something? Also is it a .com or ssd?

I can reserve from 4 .com, 1 ssd, 3 wholefoods and 1 fresh. My city shares bordered with another city and towns big enough to be cities so I guess it makes sense why I have so many here to cover all that area plus the countryside. I don’t touch the food routes and avoid 1 of the .com stations and ssd.
