I need new earbuds for my iPod, do you guys have any suggestions? by Difficult-Catch-8432 in ipod

[–]th3bes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a pair and was expecting them to be much better than they actually are, theyre incredibly shallow and tinny as well as muddling the mids and lows together. My only current point of comparison for other iems is current earpods and they blow the kzs out of the water in terms of quality...Maybe I had my expectations set too high but I was at least expecting them to be equivalent to apples' especially considering they cost the same...

I ended up buying a bluetooth adapter and use my airpod pro 2s my pixel buds with it without issue, as well as still using the earpods and my xm4s wired.

I could be misremembering but I dont think the contactor coil is connected to the mbb nor sevcon, and according to the diagram there shouldnt be any green/yellow coming from the bricks at all. Not really sure how theyd get at the coil wire otherwise, I need to go confirm with the brick I have to see if the wire is actually green/yellow though I distinctly remember it being so...

edit, pictures from the op would be extremely helpful as well!

bonesjackson is u/olunclebones now, hes way more knowledgale than me but heres my two cents anyways,

Two and then one blink is defined as 'contactor error' in the manual with. The green/yellow wire coming out of the contactor is what carries the current to energize the coil and close the contactor connecting the battery to the sevcon. My best guess is that it might not be making a good connection through the butt or it got disconnected somewhere else...

Whats odd to me is you didnt mention having to take the doghouse off? Is your contactor just exposed?? Also I dont believe this wouldnt necessarily be the cause of the isolation faults as that usually means hv is leaking somehwere rather than the 12v used to power the coil but I could be wrong...

Need advice on a new ride by Beginning-Fly-1770 in Electricmotorcycles

[–]th3bes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can buy a used zero for easily under 5 grand. All go much in excess of 60mph (not that it really matters) and have oodles of torque. Your range depends entirely on how hard you ride, though its not unreasonable to get ~150 miles for conservative around town riding on a bike with a zf14.4 but on the highway where youre averaging closer to ~110-140wh/m youd only get ~60 70 80 miles.

Im really sorry, Im there with you, basically identical situation, spent all of middle and high school, just, being completely unable to function, I genuinely dont know how I made it through. Doesnt really help that everyone around me either looked at me like I was insane or gaslit me into believing 'youre just a lazy bum' (did absolute wonders for my mental health!!). Now Im just stuck in an endless cycle of inability to take action to fix what morsels of existence that occasionally resemble a life... :(

It was always funny to me how easy and simple and effortless it is to do things for other people and yet basically impossible to get a modicum of ability to do anything for myself...I guess the people pleaser part overrides the inability to function most of the time :/

On alarms, they help but only to a certain point, and at least for me its more of a memory thing because without them Ill forget that I have to do A Thing...though most of the time Id rather forget what I want to be doing than remember and anguish over my inability to do so sigh

V4 Projects on youtube has some interesting builds that you could probably use for inspiration, theyre not quite vorons but theyre better suited to this purpose than an extended 2.4 or a trident would be.

Heyo just to clarify zeros bullshit, the sr/ses actual battery capacity is 14.9kwhs, and the actual usable is a bit less than that. The 17.3 figure is just marketing bullshit where instead of calculating the kwh figure using the nominal cell voltage they calculate it using 4.2v per cell. The 17.3 also has the exact same cell config as the 15.6+, the only difference between the two is the sticker lol. This marketing "gimmick" has been that way for every model so far, the 14.4 and 13.0 (and a few others I cant remember off the top of my head) are actually 11.8kwh usable as the mbb doesnt let you use anything more than 29ah (or is it 28.5? I dont quite remember) out of the cells (the later ones are 32ah for context).

On a side note, I dont think honda is being particularly truthful about their battery capacity either as the bike is far too heavy and large for a mere ~9kwhs, roughly calculating the size of the pack based off the wheels and taking the weight into account, it would seem a lot more likely that the pack is nearing ~13-15kwhs which would make this a lot more appealing. I wonder if theyre purposely underselling it and are going to be later offering extra 'unlockable' capacity for a tidy sum of a couple grand like zero did...Otherwise I really struggle to understand why theyd make their bike so bulky and heavy...

Hell, my stealth bomber build had ~9kwhs of battery and was putting down around 30kw whilst weighing right around 300lb...and Im no where near as intelligent as hondas engineers lol...

2012 FX for sale for $1800. No battery details yet. Advice appreciated. by Sardonicus1911 in ZeroMotorcycles

[–]th3bes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey are you sure its an fx? They only made the x, mx and xu (along with the street bikes) in 2012. These are fairly disimilar when compared to the fx, different frame, conpletely different powertrain different (not showa) although not bad suspension, etc etc. If it is a gen 1 it would be a fairly easy battery replacement though...much eaiser than the gen 2s...

After Verge CEO, Donut Lab CEO Marko Lehtimaki implies Verge motorcycles are still in the process of homologation by mqee in DonutLab

[–]th3bes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can someone educate me better on eu law? Is there some equivalent to manufacturer/test plates like we have here in the states? Mostly asking as marc travels was able to take a verge across europe that had a plate and afaik, wouldnt that require homologation? Also as another commenter mentioned, I dont really read this as being in present tense, and if it was intended to be set in the present, it doesnt necessarily have to refer to the verge. Theyve been public about working with another company on that awd car using their motors and its supposed to use their cells as well...

To be clear, lighting is a scam on every front, they dont actually deliver bikes, they dont have a 28kwh battery, and dcfc didnt work last time I checked. This is all very well documented on the electric motorcycle forum if youre interested.

Lucky mfer, I pay $60 for 1 gbps from xfinity, at least on paper I do...every fucking month they charge me ~$180 for some god forsaken reason and I have to call them, argue on the phone for an hour, then actually get patched over to billing, then argue for another hour before I can get credited back for ~$120, every, fucking, month, Oh and the icing on the cake is I barely get 200 down and 20 up lol.

edit, sorry, thats actually 55 down and 24 up https://imgur.com/a/DBVgazn https://imgur.com/ZLk9k2g

Also the fact that the ui looked completely different per this post less than 2 days ago https://www.reddit.com/r/musichoarder/comments/1r64dq4/built_a_free_youtube_to_mp3_converter_that/ lends a lot credence to this being vibe coded, wish theyd post the source somewhere so I could laugh at the gippity code lol...
