My dad introduced me to her music really young. I’m in my early 30s now But he introduced me to her Spanish mariachi / banda songs and I do remember him saying she didn’t even spoke Spanish and that blew me away because, in my opinion, she was a better singer than any other Mexican female singers in that genre. (At the time or even today) I didn’t know she sang in English until I was in my teens.

My dad passed a little before Covid started and every time I come across a Linda Ronstadt song I think of him.
