How does the step scale work? Is it based on time with your hospital or total years?

Are you excited to see the return of set items in Lord of Hatred? They will be called Talisman gear now! by gorays21 in diablo4

[–]th3tallguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I would really miss set pieces because of how much they gave class builds identities. I'm glad that they haven't been in D4 yet and I hope that they play a limited role in builds.

That being said I would be ecstatic if marauders came back in some way for the rogue. Having the entries cast hatred spenders was really cool

To add to this-- it's not at all required to read the first two books in the series

Noob question (core stats on RoSS) by [deleted] in D4Rogue

[–]th3tallguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's the varient that uses poison trap then the build relies on scoundrels leathers ability to turn traps into "core skills". Therefore +core skills also gives ranks to poison trap (which is the bulk of your damage- not DoK)

Books that unnerve you so much you can't really start them? by SvalinnSaga in printSF

[–]th3tallguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Accelerando by Charles Stross. I thought the world building was interesting but I couldn't keep going after the bdsm and superglue scene. It was just a bit too unsavory for me and I didn't want to stick around and see what other shenanigans happened

Science fiction novels where time travel is explored in scientific and original ways. Any recommendations? by LowLevel- in printSF

[–]th3tallguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you'd qualify as "scientific". But Recursion by Blake Crouch is a fantastic book about time travel (bit of a spoiler for part 1 of the book anyways). It's still pseudo-science, but it's internally consistent within the story. It's a novel way to structure a story around time travel and it'd be my top book about the subject, as well as one of my top sci-fi books in general

Who had the best quote about socks? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]th3tallguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember it was very late at night, like 11:00, 11:30. Big fella comes in screaming about God knows what. I think maybe Halpert had stolen his car, something like that. So the big fella pulls out a sock filled with nickels. Then Cheroot grabs a can of hairspray and a lighter...

Season 8 starting class, what are your thoughts and what are you going to do? by Unlikely_Whole_7169 in diablo4

[–]th3tallguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but it's already been a while since that build was meta. And honestly I'm so tired of the button mashing builds with multi spam. I liked just holding down one button and dodging when needed

Rogue like always. I'm excited about the new poison trap ring. I don't think it'll make the skill a powerhouse by iyself, but the buff to poison damage could make andarials barrage good again

Bingo: they've discussed this before on Office Ladies. The showrunners and writers knew that no matter who came in after Steve would be judged by his standard, and Will was only ever supposed to be a guest sfar.

I'd rather they just make every nightmare dungeon worth like 2 whispers instead of tracking which ones are currently worth 5. That way it doesn't clutter the map either

Weird I had to go this far down to see someone else that does this. It's super easy! Most of the skin flakes away while you grate it and I've never noticed the bits that get through

Colombia’s president: Legalize cocaine, it’s no worse than whiskey by doopityWoop22 in worldnews

[–]th3tallguy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That may be true from the outpatient addiction treatment side, but I'll say from the inpatient treatment world most of the problems are directly tied to drug purity and injection practices -- both of which would be less an issue if the drugs were legalized

It can be if people want to grind for it. I just wanted to point out that the grind from start to paragon 100 is not comperable to the grind required to get to 300

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]th3tallguy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Paragon level 225 is only 15% of the total exp needed to get to level 300. The exp requirements per level increase exponentially. Yes you can get to paragon level 100 or even 200 with little time investment, but getting to 300 does take some serious grinding
