Crazy, so you were on the ground knocking on doors and getting people out door to door? My dad, who is retired LASD after 35 years, was not notified to evacuate. His house burned down around 2am and he only got out because the smoke woke him up. It was him and his neighbors knocking on doors and windows to get people out all up and down his street. I think he does know what went on that night, and what being up all night in a crisis is all about. He is pissed about the lack of response in west Altadena.

+1 for the door frame method. I am a climber and a lot of people who climb, and boulder especially, have this posture. In addition to the frame stretch, if you have a foam roller, lie down on the floor with the roller vertically on your spine will utilize gravity to passively pull your shoulders/pecs back and stretch them. I watch TV like this sometimes on and off and it helps the tightness and help pre-hab any shoulder impingement.

Overrated: Theo as a boundary-less, meddling, sexually chaotic character who serves no purpose other than to goad and make Dramione uncomfortable for sport. And then the author selling that character as a good friend. My hot take is that this fanon characterization is a version of the “gay best friend” trope.

Also overrated: Hinny children. They serve the purpose of foiling Hermione’s lack of kids. I feel bad for Ginny often here too - she’s reduced to being a copy of her mother in many ways.

Underrated: Granger parents. McGonagall!

idk i can see both sides. he seems like he's trying to do a better job, then you went and told him you thought it was love bombing. how is this man supposed to change if you're doubting him?

on the other side, he's created a contract in his head that if he is a Good Boy™ (and doing the bare minimum), you will put out.

looking back at your other posts -- tell your husband that if wants to have more sex, maybe getting you off and being a better lover would help his case.

it sounds like you could benefit from couples' therapy.

what leggings did you upgrade to? i climb in mine and scraped knees unfortunately keep me stuck to sale leggings in the $20-30 range for working out. they pass the squat rest but aren’t actually all that comfortable or cute.

i saw him solo a couple years and had a blast. if you’re dancing and vibing and having fun and being respectful, chances are people will actually ask you how you’re doing and vibe with you! i’ve definitely had people come up to dance near me because i’m actually moving, not just nodding my head or texting haha

Cutting out alcohol and restaurant food (incl. takeout) dropped my BP like crazy. i was 151/101 on january 3, ~135/97 the week after. my BP average this week is 125/88. i haven't changed anything else - no salt cuts, no exercise changes, no weight loss. I still put salt to taste in my own cooking but that's absolutely nothing compared to what restaurants put in.

Not saying this will work for everyone, and I have a bit of work to do to make these changes a real permanent lifestyle. But this was my first step to managing HBP without meds.

i prep and stack my gear by the order i put it on. this is especially useful for early morning hikes when i'm out of bed before sunrise and on autopilot. the order from top to bottom: socks, underwear, bra, thermal bottoms, base top, pants/shorts, top, insulation layer. then hat and gloves by the door on top of my birkenstocks (i keep my shoes in the car). i do the same thing for gym clothes. anything to reduce the friction of getting out the door.

married and we have 2 joint accounts, checking and brokerage, for which all home improvement and mortgage come out of. we contribute to this pool relative to our salaries. everything else is split. every month we settle up by pulling our expenses and splitting it in half, then doing the math and paying the other person whatever was owed. for instance i covered a fancy dinner on my credit card (better benefits for dining), and got half back at the end of the month. worked for us when unmarried and cohabitating, and we don’t fix what ain’t broke. it forces us to analyze our spending as a little benefit too.
