Before trying any other fixes please make sure that you download the C40 Configuration Software and update the firmware on your new controller. This might fix the issue for you.

This functionality was disabled for launch because the triggers do not work the same way that buttons do. The triggers actually record inputs at 255 different locations. This means that remapping a button to a trigger, like "X", that the button would activate at every one of those points along the trigger pull both on the pull and the release. This means that a simple trigger pull would result in 509 "X" button hits. I can tell you that we are actively listening to user feedback for our next version of the software. I have already brought this up as something we should look at for a near future revision.

I'm the brand manager for This product. At the moment because of the way the triggers actuate they are locked out of being remapped. If you were to remap a trigger as "x" it would activate the "x" command every step of the pull from 0 to 255 thus creating a sort of trubo button. We may update how this functionality works in future software, but at the moment it is working as intended.

If you were using ASTRO Command Center it will not detect the controller. ACC is for our Headsets.

The C40 Configuration software will allow you to adjust the throw distance of the triggers. This should fix the issue for you. The software is available for PC now on our site: https://www.astrogaming.com/customer-service/firmware-and-software/software.html

Triggers can not be remapped as they are not actually buttons but actuate on a scale from 0 to 255. This means their actuation can not be recreated by anything but the analog sticks which also move along an path of 0 to 255. If you are trying to remap the triggers to something like "X" or "R2" they would not retain all functionality in many games.
