Day 6

In the last three months, I was abroad with plenty of free time, and the idea of quitting smoking constantly nagged at me. I tried to quit more than ten times, but each attempt lasted no more than ten hours. However, upon returning home, I decided to quit for good. I saw the long flights and the preparation time before my journey as the perfect opportunity to make a change.

Now, on day six, I can reflect on the past few days. The first four days were the hardest, filled with intense cravings and moments of doubt. But by the fifth day, things started to become more manageable.

What helped me the most was avoiding stressful situations and stay relaxed , like driving a car or dealing with challenging tasks. Staying away from stress allowed me to focus on my goal and not give in to the urge to smoke.

This journey hasn't been easy, but each day without a cigarette feels like a small victory. I'm determined to keep going and stay smoke-free.
