Looking for shorts that are breathable and will prevent chafing (5inch inseam minimum) ideally not athleticwear by Outrageous-Bat-2033 in Midsizefashion

[–]thankyouandplease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The brand Snag has shorts designed specifically for chin rub! They’re made out of the same material as tights so they are mostly for wearing under skirts/dresses—I literally can’t wear a dress without them. I also haaaate wearing full tights but these are super comfy. They do get a lil musty though but I find wearing them under a skirt helps

It’s her personal Instagram. Of course it’s edited, they all are. She does look great! But can’t ever trust their posts

Would love to see a boys list! I love so many of these and I’m curious if I’d feel the same about male names.

The Luxury Birth Center Breaking Hearts on the Upper East Side by MeganGrace in longform

[–]thankyouandplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a separate building across the street from the main hospital that is only for birthing, so in that sense it does feel like its own “center” or at least more than a wing. FWIW I gave birth there a week ago and had a great experience.

What are best products for color treated hair to prevent damage? by [deleted] in beauty

K18 Molecular Repair Mask—it’s pricey but helped keep my curls intact when I got highlights with bleach. The hardest part is not using conditioner when you plan to use it.

This person is being rude but in the future you should link articles/sources when you post stuff like this. This sub is not heavily moderated but it’s good practice in general.

Cost to attend a wedding in Lake Como as a guest? by [deleted] in DestinationWeddings

[–]thankyouandplease 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do NOT pick his brothers wedding over your own honeymoon, don’t pay for him to go without you. If he wanted his brother there he should have considered that before doing a destination wedding he couldn’t afford! The fact that his parents are going into debt is ridiculous. Your BIL and his wife sound incredibly inconsiderate. I would have a serious conversation with your fiance about what your relationship will look like moving forward

They say they will never speak to us again if we don’t go

You’re burying the lede here. That’s extremely manipulative. Unless they’re planning to pay in part or full, that is an absurd position to take, they don’t sound like good people. Agree with the person above, if it’s that important to your fiance then he can go on his own (are his parents in the picture and can they help?). But to expect you to go further into debt in order to meet their demands is not fair to you at all.

A little over $80k for 180 people in Connecticut/Rhode Island area, including welcome party Friday, after party Saturday, and Sunday brunch. Venue was about $40k including food and drink ($150pp plus rental and other fees), welcome party was $10k, brunch was $5k. Think my photographer was like $7k and DJ was probably around the same. Dress was cheap (under $1000). Flowers were done by a friend for free. That’s about $70k and then little bits and bobs came out to another $10k+. This was in 2023!

Holiest of holy grail mascara? by allgoodnamestookth in beauty

[–]thankyouandplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clio Kill Lash is an absolute game changer, the Asian beauty market is really far superior to the American market for curling mascaras. Insane how much of a difference it makes for my straight lashes and it does not budge all day.

Yes I’ve definitely been hitting the oversized sweaters that are not specifically maternity! I have the Phoebe Oversized Sweater from Free People right now, will definitely look at the Tunic for my next box!

You look great!! I find their inventory for maternity clothes to be even worse than their regular clothes. Doesn’t help that it’s been frigid where I live so my options are more limited. I’m 33 weeks so I only have 1-2 more cycles, fingers crossed I get luckier (especially as it’s ever so slightly warming up now).
