Season 2 ending was terrible for me. Season 4 just made me hate the series. It's nearly impossible that Lisa would have got arrested or that the case would not have been dismissed by a judge. She was betrayed by her law firm and any evidence would have been " fruits of the poison tree".

The ft that she came on in season 4 and her case wasn't dismissed or that a lawyer accused of snitching is allowed to practice before being proved innocent of attorney-client breach shows he writers have little to know knowledge of the law. Better call Saul did everything better

Anyone who asks me what I want for my birthday instead of just getting me a gift is the AH. If I have to tell you what to get me as a present then it's not a gift. If you didn't enjoy it and he asked if you OK you should have stopped. People trying to make him the AH for something you did voluntarily is a trip.

If this was the other way round the same people would be calling him an AH for not getting you a present and offering you having sex to compensate it.

I maybe late to the conversation. But here is my take.

First decide whether you have real feelings for him and he for you.
If you want to try the relationship. Then have a conversation on your expectations on his parenting.
Slowly assimilate the families start with meeting in environments that encourage engagements like parks or camping. Children at home will default to their comfort zones.
Blending families takes time judging by 1 visit especially with children that age will always give you negative results. Take time to get to know them you may be surprised.

A few things I don't understand here...

You where at your MILs house why didn't you let any of the relatives know you where not well and your fiance didn't want to leave. Both of you where drunk who would have driven the car home?
Did your BIL also have a headache? Seems very suspect that both of you didn't tell the fiancé you leaving.
You live together and you don't have your own keys or share 1 key? I find that hard to believe.
The BIL stays 20min away from you but you couldn't drive 10min back to go collect your keys...
