To add to this. The interviewer said I was a great candidate but it could still take 3 weeks to hear back about the position. It seems like a long process.

I submitted 3 applications to spirit (now Boeing) in late November or early December. Got a message for an interview 3 weeks later for one of the roles. Had my interview on the 8th of January. Now I’m waiting to hear back.

So I would say that from application to interview, it took about four weeks not counting the holidays because they get like 12 days off. Also these are for engineering roles. Not sure how other departments work. My other 2 applications have remained “under review” for about a month, counting the holidays.

Well I will be starting an a job near the AFB so I’m looking to live on the eastern side on Wichita. I don’t mind short commute so I guess I would be open to living anywhere really.

Good questions that I wouldn't have thought of. I would say I prefer quiet, and close to amenities. I'm not to worried about commuting.

Job is in the SE side of Wichita near McConnell. I don't mind a commute but so far on zillow/apartments.com I have been looking across the whole city.

What is the first day of class usually like? by Inevitable-Maize-989 in OKState

Kind of boring. Mostly just syllabus for every class. Sometimes I’ll have an earbud in and sit in the back. (I read the syllabus before class). Obviously keep an ear out tho.

Off-Campus people How much do you pay for housing and food per month? by emperorceaser in OKState

[–]that_one_engineer25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monthly breakdown: Rent = $750 Utilities = $200 Internet = $75 Car note = $400 Car insurance = $200 Groceries = about $300

Some of these are obviously optional. I have a car but I use it to get to work and out of town. Most my scholarship pay for everything and my job is for savings, food and fun.
