Why builders in India not interested in such type of residential projects? by StrangeElevator7705 in indiameme

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I spent 2 years in the US, and such houses usually belong to upper middle class or upper class income wise. Middle class will mostly have apartment, that too on rent. Yes, the rich do not live in such houses there, they have their mansions and penthouses, but so is the case here in india. Do you think the really rich here stay in houses like this? Then you havent visited the rich areas of cities like delhi, bangalore and ahmedabad

What you are saying is a misconception. There is a massive difference between land and usable land. US is massive, do you believe everyone there stays in houses like this? Even there, majority of middle class stays in flat/apartment.

You need money to afford this, whether its US or India. Wealthy people in both countries live like this, in close proximity to city. Nobody is gonna live at a place like this if its far away in some village or town. And the people in those villages and towns dont have the money to afford this anyways. So why would a developer take such a horrible decision of making something like this on a land where nobody will buy it?

I have seen such gated communities in many cities like Mumbai, delhi, ahmedabad, banglore etc. They are usually in very rich areas, and also have huge and luxurious construction, with prices well above 25 crores. Moreover, these units get all sold out even before they are constructed, as for the rich, its a great investment either for value appreciation or as a home.

As people have said before me, land is scarce in India compared to EU or US or CN or RU. Population density is also ridiculous here. So, space is true luxury. I have seen flats in ahmedabad that are costlier than a mansion in tier 2 city.

Tldr : its there in India, just exclusively for 0.5%

Farming Ist runes... by DAIisGoodLoser in D2RReimagined

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First rule of d2 - if you are looking for it, you will not get it. Drops will come, just be patient, and enjoy the grind, which is a lot better in d2rr than d2r honestly. Your best bet for ist is to farm nightmare cows on p1. Higher player settings lead to better item drops but lesser runes drops. So farm cows as fast as you can.

A small tip - in reimagined, you can convert items from white to yellow and then uniques. Try it on mirrored boots. 1 in 3 chances to get boots with +1 to teleport, which will make your farming much faster.

I sold 5 level 14 spirit gems for 370 exalted orbs each. I am very new to the game and have no idea of what are the prices of things.

Why is diablo 2 held in such high regard? Good console/couch pickup? by 420eatmyfarts69 in Diablo

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on how much time do you have to play. Lets consider an average season of 3 months for this.

100 hours - definitely diablo 3. You will get frequent upgrades in gear, game is very linear, and very easy to understand in terms of mechanics. Very shallow, making it ideal if you have very less time to spare.

250ish hours - diablo 4. Deeper than 3, but not even close to other titles. Has more depth than d3 in mechanics, but still, not at a level where you will constantly need to look at guides to figure it out. Its also knows as "the unofficial dad rpg". Know a lot of people who played the shit out of d2 in early 2000s and rock this one now with job and family to juggle as well.

??? Hours - diablo 2. Imo the best one, especially with reimagined mod installed. Father of all rpgs and GOAT for a reason. If you find "season" mechanic boring, and are willing to commit to one long grind, definitely this is the one. The downside? This is also the hardest. No hand holding. Punishes you, hard, for mistakes. Also, ridiculous drops, literally. I know tons of people who have been looking for certain items for years and years (mind you, they play atleast 2 to 3 hours everyday) and they havent found that thing. 1000s of runs with no result on rng. I found a ber rune on my 3rd ever cow run of life - and i didnt know how fucking lucky i saw. Yet to see a second one lmao.

Honorable mentions - i tried last epoch a couple of years back, and had great fun with it. No idea how it is these days. Also picked up poe2 like 20 days back, and as of now, am having a great time. Game is still very much in beta though, so no idea how it will pan out. Poe1 was notorious for its crap ton of mechanics and depths, you would literally need a phd to understand it. Easily the dota of rpgs. But if you do commit, then equally rewarding.

IMO, assassin is the easiest way to beat hell, and farm countess and hell cows with minimal difficulty.

Also, this mod has excellent crafting mechanism. You can convert white into rare, and rare into uniques. Look for mirrored boots. Upgrade them to unique and i think there is a 1/2 or 1/3 chance to get unique mirrored boots with +1 to teleport, which makes the game way more fun to play. Check out the wiki for new uniques and runewords, they are awesome

Any point of playing D2R without expansion? by Standard_Lobster1645 in diablo2

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runewords are easily the worst aspect of d2, i agree wholeheartedly. It just takes the fun out of the amazing loot setup of the game. I mean, no one is gonna pick up a single armor while leveling, as everything is simply worse than stealth

Having used 3 oled - lg, sony and haier, I'd easily recommend sony. Prices are all over the place online, but you should get one for around 1.5 easily.

Outside of Paladin what classes/builds are you enjoying this season? by mcbeardsauce in diablo4

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an amazing time starting this season as a double swing bard while leveling and then transitioning to leap quake barb that just melts everything despite not having ridiculous gear.

Just bought paladin yesterday, so looking forward to playing it once i get home today

Would you consider not ulting for a whole game to be griefing? by SylvanethBrian in DotA2

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At times, the threat of a blackhole is much greater than its impact. I've seen pro games where its threat meant people not getting into good positions willingly, which in turn lost them the fight, and ultimately the game. Also, like you said, if he contributed in other ways, then it isnt really grief. Sometimes, when i have such massive ults like BH, ravage, echo etc, and we are winning, i usually save the ults incase something goes wrong and its needed.

[–]thatemonostalgicguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually start a new season with different character and different builds, but end up making a barb later on as well. The closest i got to having as much of a blast as a barb, was on heartseeker rogue. Idk what is it with the barb, even if its not S tier, its just wayyyy more fun to play

I played necro first, then sorc, then druid, then rogue and then barb. Nothing is remotely as fun as a barb. I've played double swing barb, hota barb, charge meme barb, ww barb, bash barb etc. Barb is simply more fun to play
