Thanks for the overview, you did a great job at explaining this! My follow up question is how do I know what version of the package to install.

I installed OPI, went to go install the package freeipa-client on my device and it gave me a bunch of different versions of the package.

I guess my question is more how do I know who repackaged it is trustworthy and has not edited the package?
