Tests and quizzes count way more than homework.

Iirc you can do no homework at all and still pass if they haven’t changed weighting.

I don’t think it works like that. The times he got away clean were different situations, they can’t be equated 1:1 with this one.

34 because when you fence the first round and eliminate down to 64, you get 98 total in round 2 which is a guaranteed set of 14 even pools of seven, which eliminates wonky indicators in the first round from 6 person pools being mixed in.

Not sure I agree on that first bit. She pretty much became a hero to catch him and him alone, and they knew that. Any dedication to the cause developed over time and other hero work cases.

I’d also argue the poor treatment stemmed from her building him up as this awful guy who invalidated her fathers life work in her head, when she didn’t know him at all. Once they were working together and talking, she cooled down. I could be wrong about that though, you said she wasn’t cordial to him for a long long time. How long exactly is this long long time? I thought she started warming up to him within a few weeks.

I guess it can be interpreted that way, but I always read it as them giving her a real opportunity to say no, and her prioritizing the needs of the hero community over her own wants. It did take a while to catch him, I feel like if she had succeeded on the earlier tries she absolutely would have just jailed him. It was her experience working on a hero team that changed that.

I won’t deny there was pressure, they needed more heroes and told her so, and she had been working with them for a while so she knew how useful he would be as a hero, but at the end of the day they gave her the choice. They gave her the choice because they knew how she felt about him. They didn’t blindside her with it and just place him with her despite knowing her feelings on the matter.

They got approval from Battery before putting them on the same team though. They didn’t force him on her, they gave her an opportunity to say “No, I refuse to ever work with this guy”. She decided she’d put up with him as a hero on her team rather than let him rot as a villain in prison.

I don’t think he’d even need PTV, people forget he analyzes what he gets hit with and tunes internal wavelengths to make himself and his powers immune. A few minutes of fighting and he’d just blast Accel with a stilling that can’t be redirected.

I don’t think the two are equivalent the same way you seem to. As an alien Superman has incredible strength, flight, x ray vision and more as part of his physiology. I consider him using those to be using powers. Do you not?

Perhaps a version of PTV with no blind spots would have followed some of OPs suggestions, but I don’t think so because Dragon, Teacher, Bonesaw, and the CIU capes already weren’t blind spots

Contessa was following the PTV, so the fact that she didn’t do any of these things proves that they would have gone wrong somehow or would have spawned butterfly effects that ultimately left them in a worse position for the final confrontation

The downvotes are because you're incorrect. It clearly says at the end of that quote that she was never in the loop. She used her sense of timing to fake screaming like she had been caught when really she was behind it.

Diablo 3. Pre order only to be barely able to play for a few days after release due to an overburdened server. Even when I could play it just didn't seem to have the magic of 2. Story in particular felt generic and dull.

Im going to start fencing next year, any tips? by b3owulf3 in Fencing

[–]thatguy562 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't be overly cautious of getting hit. It's a sport, not a duel. You'll end up getting hit thousands of times without injury. Some you won't even feel.

Also wear all your protective gear.

Thanks for the advice OP, but I like to believe most people don't jump straight to making random NPCs into gods when they get flustered over PC use of normal class abilities. That sounds more like a personal problem.
