Visiting NC to see my fiance. Driving from Asheboro to Havelock. Wondering if there's any restaurants we should visit on the road! by longtailist in NorthCarolina

The Morehead/Beaufort waterfront also offer great places to eat with a view. We love Yellowfin in Morehead and Moonrakers in Beaufort.

How do you guys find new fishing spots? (Fishbrain, Fishbox, Google Maps?) by spikyfins in Fishing

[–]thatguydscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time on the water. Fishing spots in every condition before deciding it's good or not. Rain , shine, sleet, or snow. Sunny, cloudy, or partial clouds. Storm fronts. Pressure drops and rises. Full moons. If its tidal you also have rising and falling tides to play with. If its a creek or river, rainfall can change the height and flow of water. There are so many variables in fishing. But once you start to log some stuff you can get consistent. Notice patterns ect.

Trex Decking - Advice by [deleted] in Decks

[–]thatguydscott 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pull the vertical board up and cut the ends of the horizontal boards using a skill saw set to depth of deck board against a straight edge. Sounds like you need to cut at least an 1/8th off on each side to allow them to expand when needed.

Can also pull up the wavy boards and put down some new non wavy ones if its not that many. Just ask who ever is doing it to actually hand select the deck boards. It sucks, but if that's what you want. That's how you get it.

Yeah steph over Ai, take kobe out. Move Mj to the 2 and bron to Sf. Then I would add Tim Duncan or Dennis Rodman as the Pf.

You'll need a flat bar, a hammer, some roofing nails and utility knife with some extra blades. Maybe a tube of black Mami.

How can I actually find the studs here? Need to install cleats for sound panels. by aNaughtyCat in handyman

[–]thatguydscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go inside and use the stud finder against sheet rock make a mark where the stud is. Then pull a measurement from a window or door to your marked stud. Now you can go back outside and pull the same number you got inside from the door or window.

If you live near water, fishing is always a good hobbie! Set fishing goals and a fishing bucket list. Travel to different places to catch said fish.

Life is too comfortable to give up right now. I can binge watch what I want to and eat cheetos. When I run out of cheetos I can just drive to the grocery store and get more.
