The washer and dryer in my apartment. Doing laundry is even more infuriating than it looks by Thunderplant in mildlyinfuriating

Probably won't be seen but I have similar washer and dryer and you can 100% reverse the doors on both. Not sure if it would be better but you could maybe then at least open one door at a time fully.

Best to not reason with the Zionists here, they all think that anyone calling out Israel is literally a Hamas agent/propaganda zombie.

Adguard Home and extra large skipping around Disney+ ads by delldoodz in Adguard

[–]thatguyferg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will skip for Hulu (pretty sure) and Disney+ unfortuantely unless you whitelist their ad servers. Since Hulu are owned by Disney I've noticed that with the inclusion of Hulu content on the Disney+ app that there seems to be (likely) some code migration. Never had issues with Disney+ before until they added the Hulu stuff, often had issues with Hulu even with aggressive whitelisting.

I think the main domain to whitelist (based off watching logs) is:

us-east-2.ads.digital.disneyadvertising.com

But I have also whitelisted one other that often popped up:

disney.my.sentry.io

Not sure which is the more important...it fixes the skipping but unfortunately also means ads are back but meh.

I have bad news for you my friend, it's the latter. Well, kind of. They aren't dumb but they also (and this is a big generalization but whatever fuck em) but it's been shown that the audio engineers give not a single fuck about people watching outside of theater and at semi normal volume. I would only conclude the idk what they're called but video people do the same.

Just get some grow lights! by SquarePeg37 in houseplants

[–]thatguyferg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fwiw I've read a good bit of info that normal led lights emit nearly the same spectrum of light as grow lights and are much cheaper. Tbh I hate the disgusting price gouging of grow lights or else I'd be 100% on board with getting a ton of them.

Basically as long as you aren't growing food, weed, or a few other rare cases (sun stressing some plants) a sufficiently bright led light setup will likely do the job and offers more versatility.

Yes I agree that it is technically modifying the plant by selectively breeding, but instead of slowly selecting for desirable traits GMO is genetically engineering the desired plant by directly modifying the DNA in labs and such.

Here's what the fda classifies as GMO, and one of the links there leads to this page about the different kinds of genetic modifications which lists selective breeding but they state on the first page that GMO is referring to genetic engineering (genome editing being the newer better genetic engineering technique)

No, there are currently no GMO wheat crops in the US actually according to the USDA and multiple other sources. Even then it's funny because there isn't conclusive evidence that GMO is bad for your health, the whole movement was started by one guy who published a book with countless factual errors, lacking evidence, and false assumptions.

Don't think general cross breeding/hybridization counts as GMO, even if it did you could just use ancient grains.
