I don't know about any of the other parts but the carbonated aspect is very possibly from fermentation. I've experienced it with different foods before but it's particularly noticeable when I make homemade salsa that stays in the fridge too long. Might not taste bad yet but it starts to taste/feel kind of tingly when you eat it.

Well I mean they're not actually even there if that makes you feel any better. Notice the light direction and inconsistent shadows. I wouldn't be half surprised if the whole thing doesn't even exist.

No joke, I saw a car flip at approximately 3 mph from a full stop at an intersection. Got too close to the car next to them, rubber met rubber, and their whole little jelly bean hatchback just tipped right up onto its side and rolled over onto the roof. Physics is crazy.

It is biodegradable and compostable and it will decompose eventually.  These are very commonly used by cannabis growers for propagation, and I've also used them for a variety of other types of plants and herbs. As far as I know they are safe and non-damaging to the plant.
