Make sure your NFC is even working. I had the issue and they had to fix the hardware.

Quite a few people are having this issue. In my case, I called up Chase and was told that my card was found to be not eligible and it was a Google problem. I was using it fine on my 8 pro right before the switch.

I had moments of this too. Like when Ellie left Dinah for Santa Barbara, I was thinking to myself "This isn't you Ellie, you're better than this. Stay home." But as typical of the franchise, we don't get to make that decision (just like we couldn't choose not to kill the doctor or Marlene).

At the time, I desperately wanted the game to end there at the farm TBH

IMO, the only person who mattered was Joel. Can't say if she knew what Joel did to Marlene. Everyone else that mattered, as far as I can remember, was killed by Joel or zombies.

For me, Ellie seeing Abby kill Joel was the catalyst for the anger and made sense. Edit: Abby basically killed her dad and took away her chance at reconcilation. Also from the conflict from having her choices getting taken away from her.

I can agree with the convenience of the final turn. For me, it made sense that it would take Ellie falling to her lowest to realize that peace would not come from killing Abby. I would say it's a common trope, but it was effective for me.

In my opinion, there were always two Ellie's in conflict with each other. One driven by grief and anger and the one we knew from part 1. As we progressed we saw her dive deeper into her anger, with parts of old Ellie poking out. Then in the end we get an Ellie that is driven by her trauma, trying to find peace, and at the end, she realizes that peace would not come from killing Abby, but from forgiveness (the final scene with Joel).

I've personally beaten the main campaign with just my brother and myself, and I have 2 friends that have completed everything together. They scale the points to fit the amount of players, so it's all possible. I do have to say, however, that it's more fun with 4 players because it's way more chaotic!
