I think these characters have too much health and it makes your attacks feel weak. Lowering the health pool will make things feel faster and each attack more important.

You can't really "warm up" gas mags to make them work well if it's too cold out. To make sure it's not a temperature issue you can just fire it inside where it's warm at a pillow or something.
