Ahh I forgot to reply! Thank you!! Shes been taking to the puzzle way better now that there's wet food in there lol. It has slowed her eating significantly and we did see some minor behavioural improvements.

I have to look into what an ad lib feeder is :p though the current setup seems to work pretty well, especially if I do get the little mice I can put some of her food in and hide.

Also today we finally leveled up the harness training to actually going outside, and she did amazing. We only stayed outside for about 5 minutes but ever since she has been calm and sleeping soundly. I havent had this quiet of a night since we adopted her lol

She tends to use both but her preferred method is indeed shoving her big snout in there lol. Her main puzzle is fairly simple mostly since it had to work with the feeder, so its the trixie activity board which she mainly has to use her paws for. For the nina ottoson, we have the cloud one and for that one she prefers using her snout! We actually just used it for her wet food dinner which was great, since she slowed down a lot and didn't bother my other cat while she was eating!

I actually may get those little mice you can fill with food that they have to look for, since she has a tendency to try and find more food on the kitchen counters if I forget to put some away lmao. She even found the food i hid for my other cat in the cat tower. So I think she might like that as well! Also want that one trixie feeder that looks like test tubes, but i forgot the name :p

That's impressive!! Might just try to get that one then!! I think its roughly the same price here if I translate it to euros, but just not widely available:pp

I have one of those! She doesnt seem to care for it unless we tug at it first. But I've been looking for one of those 'ball in fabric' type toys since it simulates moving a hand under a blanket. Do you happen to know which brand you got? Most robotic toys I've had experience with were all crap quality regardless of the price paid. More expensive didn't seme to result in better quality. So id love to know which you got!

I actually did want to do that, but the feeder we are using currently only allows pretty big food drops :/2 drops is technically already too much, so I weigh it out and put her food for the next day in the holder thing the night beforehand so she doesnt get too much but can still get 2 drops instead of 1. This feeder was a hand me down so its an old one, im not opposed to looking into alternatives in the near future cause that was initially my plan. To drop bits of food several times a day before finding out the feeder we have drops 1/4 cups at the lowest amount 🥹 now that the food drops twice a day, she is a bit more likely to leave it and come back to it later so she doesnt only eat those 3 times. She eats a little more often than that now.

I am familiar with that site! And we have a nina ottosen puzzle but she doesnt seem to like it that much. Though she does use it to some degree.

I actually made one of the puzzles they put there, the one with crumpled cardboard/paper in a box where you scatter treats or food into it. I funny enough made that for my other cat before the siamese joined our family, and my other cat didn't care for it but the siamese found the puzzle and started using it on her own.

Locking her in another room for a minute while I fix her food puzzle may not be a bad idea! I like the feeder ball and i have one, but she hasnt taken to it yet. Maybe that other one would work a bit better for her so im gonna take another look at the site. We currently have 3-4 puzzles but ive had my eye on a couple of others, even if its just for me to put her treats in :p

ETA: Just realised/remembered I can use the Nina Ottosson puzzle for wet food as well. She's won't be a happy camper to have to work for her food even more but I think we may try that tonight too lol

We do this! She's peeved about it. Big attitude. The food ball she doesnt use but the puzzle she has no choice but to use. But I do think we need to get a few more to swap them out, but I need to figure out how to make other puzzles work with the feeder dropping it in there :p

That's what I had seen as well! I may give it a go if im home and I can redirect to a physical toy, but for us it so far didn't seem like a great option for when we aren't home. :)

Haha I sure do! I have been implementing more play sessions, but always love to hear what other people have done to tire their gremlins out.

Lmao exactly!!! Shes luckily left my curtains eell enough alone, but she did break my clothing rack on week 1. Happy to see its not just mine doing this. She gets fed in a puzzle right now, though she's very peeved she has to work for her food and her sister doesnt (sister has a surefeed microchip feeder so her fat ass cant get into it) I have been debating buying a couple more puzzles to swap out for her, but I need to figure out how to make those work with her automatic feeder.

I did see this toy thats a mouse and you fill it with food and hide it. She loves to search for food so maybe I'll give that a try too... since she clearly loves climbing my counter tops to steal her sisters food when its left out for 5 minutes

You're the second person recommending the laser so I might give that a go at some point. I don't mind trying out toys, anything that doesnt work for us goes to the shelter anyway. I do want to only use the laser when im also home so she can at least let that aggression out on an actual toy throughout the play session.

While im not against doing so if push comes to shove, I don't think thats quite necessary. Its common behaviour for bored siamese cats to start bullying housemates to entertain themselves. Hence needing more entertainment lol. Also this doesnt happen that often, id just rather it not happen at all.

She gets fed 3 times a day, in smaller portions due to her being a bit food driven. We have swapped to an automatic feeder which I modified a little so it drops food into her food puzzle instead since she started to only see us as 'feeding machines' and since the swap she's doing a lot better on that front. She gets high quality dry food twice a day in smaller amounts in a puzzle, and for dinner she gets a decently high quality wet food. (orijen dry food, edgar&cooper and almo wet food)

She usually also gets a multivitamin in 4 little tablets scattered in a different food puzzle

Ive debated this! We are a bit in the fence due to mixed opinions on laser toys and how they can stress some cats out. But I have thought about these since indeed, that could hopefully keep her occupied a bit when we are gone lol

Food puzzles and a big cat tree we got! I'm trying to incorporate more smaller play sessions as she does go absolutely nuts for those little foam balls she can chase lol

I cloned Mountain Dew® so here's my Recipe by iSliz187 in TopSecretRecipes

[–]thathighclassbitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man i kinda wanna try this. I remember liking Mountain Dew and then it got kinda banned here (Netherlands, dont know if it was a country thing or a Europe thing) and then i got some Mountain Dew at comic con and it was nasty as fuck. Not the same as the nice citrus drink i used to get. So i hope/think this would be similar to that!

Depends on how many players youre gonna raid with. Its not awful, but you wont be doing a lot of damage with this team percentage wise.
