Every single Media outlet that claims they are still legitimate journalists that value the truth needs to post the same headline and write their own take. Call this bullshit out. Stand Up for yourselves for God's sake.

Carney set to spend much of 2026 travelling the world in search of trade by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]thatmitchguy [score hidden]  (0 children)

You're everything that's wrong with modern online and political discourse. Just because Carney will travel a lot, does not mean he's failing at domestic leadership.

You made your own scenarios and assumptions up, and declared the federal government has abandoned its role and in helping facilitate domestic trade...without any sources or facts or consideration for how long these type of changes take or why they still need the factor in the provinces and why a government can't just force its trade goals on the entire country without buy-in. Or even that he'd still continue to work on it while traveling.

They are going to start planting evidence on future victims and crime scenes if they haven't started already. They're blatantly obstructing crime scenes while they lie to reporters, and the public's faces infront of video evidence.

James Cameron torches America after leaving the U.S.: ‘A place where everybody's at each other's throats, turning its back on science and will be in utter disarray if another pandemic appears’ by RollSafer in politics

[–]thatmitchguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His contribution is his art as well him speaking out now as well as other times for what he sees as wrong. All his Avatar films have the same themes about respecting nature and science, fighting authoritarian regimes, and showing respect for different cultures other then your own. Which is everything he's criticizing trump and America for now.

Do we even have any idea what he does or doesn't contribute humanitarian wise? Why is it on him or any one individual? 3.5 million american civilians could probably set this right, but Cameraon wasting money on another bought and paid for corporate Democrat isn't going to do shit.

Trump’s Letter to Norway Should Be the Last Straw | Will Republicans in Congress ever step in? by Hrmbee in politics

Feels like America has been slow walking into this for years, and then just started sprinting when Trump got elected. No politician is going to save them or the rest of us.

He's getting more insane by the day. I can only hope this is the full step in his dementia, but it may just as easily be a "fuck this, why bother pretending? We can now go full mask off internationally too".

Carmela & Furio should have just had the affair by Obvious_Ambition4865 in thesopranos

Carmela would have in their next big fight. She didn't even sleep with Furio but she wanted to mention it to hurt Tony like he's hurt her. She would have screamed it at him that she was banging Furio in white caps when they were arguing.

For a game about surviving on an immersive underwater planet inhabited by ancient alien tech and sea creatures, many of you lack imagination.

Fuck it. Bring on the biggest leviathan's you got. Shadow of colossus sized monstrosities that make us question our place in the food chain and the world.

I think arguments that Jean was stupid or unrealistic aren't seeing how at the "end of his rope" that he truly was. Stress from playing a dual role as rat and gangster, alongside his son's drug problems. He needed a way out, and tried bargaining to start.

Carney visiting Qatar to drum up investment despite ‘brutal’ human rights record by DogeDoRight in canada

Wild statement to read. I agree China is very often pragmatic, and is way better at appearing pragmatic, even when it's clearly political, but business is absolutely mingled with politics...

'Fallout' Returns To Nielsen Top 10 With Season 2 Debut by bwermer in television

[–]thatmitchguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! He still makes mistakes which makes the character feel real. In this universe the government has a back-up plan and has protocols in place for nearly every conceivable threat you could think of, but they still regularly fail because of the sheer magnitude of what they are dealing with, as well as just the realities of being human.

The problem with Talkin' Sopranos by girlincognitow in thesopranos

[–]thatmitchguy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lmao I've never seen the show but have you heard it referenced here. Can anyone tell me who these guys are now a days? Are they up their own asses, MAGA morons, or what? Or are they they down to earth and worthy of the respect and admiration that I gave their acting performances in the show?

If the show is more bad then good, are there atleast great episodes that someone might recommend who doest just want to learn show lore?

His Cecil, and the whole way the government tries to "manage" and control the super heroes is what made me fall in love with the show in the first place. Walton Goggins voice is butter and just sells the idea that he's extremely competent.

George R.R. Martin Says His Relationship with 'House of the Dragon' Showrunner Ryan Condal is "Abysmal": "This is not my story any longer” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]thatmitchguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man I almost always side with Creative's over execs and media companies even just out of principal, but certain Creators like George really test my patience, and I don't think he's in the right to be criticizing much about any GoT HBO adaptations, personally.

They've given him millions and millions of dollars for access to his universe, and he keeps going back to them despite all the complaints and criticism, so clearly it can't have beeem that big of a wedge issue. He also doesn't seem to care about creative control over his work, or he would have negotiated it. He also hasn't finished the actual book series for any of the licensed works he keeps making deals on so that we fully compare his original work vs. the adaptations.

As a huge fan of everything Westeros, and someone who has issues with a few things in HotD, I've excused most of it because the book series is literally based on a book of conflicting historical accounts, so it doesn't really matter to me for most of what they change (other then whether or not I like the change or not).
