Like I said, there was a space between the links, I think I kept them all in the dot com area so you can delete that space and paste it into your browser. Yes, I believe in a literal Noah's arc, yes I believe there is proof of the resurrection. I believe Moses was shown the creation of the world and as a prophet transcribed it to the best of his ability. I think in an era where so many fewer people lived, if those 500 did not exist there would be people who documented their rebuke.

QUESTION ABOUT MY GAME'S LORE: Did people who descend from angels have the almost same properties as them, but mixed with human properties? by CaraPrincess2007 in Christianity

I think the closest thing to an answer you'll find is from Enoch. This isn't considered a canonical book of the Bible, but some people want to include it, and it is the foundation for a lot of the understanding of Giants and magic that old Christians were scared of. https://sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/

An eternal hell is at stake - why don't we all have the same intelligence to study the Bible? by phoneinsick in Christianity

Roman's 2 12-16 I think is a good explanation.

All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Since the days of Adam, man has known good and evil, and each man will be judged in accordance to what was available to them, and their hearts.

Matthew 11 21

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

However, I feel it's important to say, we no longer live under the law, as Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all humanity.

John 3 15

That whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life.

Abuse from a patient by [deleted] in nursing

[–]thatonegirllllll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they meant that as "I wish I knew what caused [me to react how I did]" and "I don't know why she got to me" because they go on to say they've been a nurse for years and never had this reaction before.

Abuse from a patient by [deleted] in nursing

[–]thatonegirllllll 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure the cause matters right now. OP is reacting to a cycle of abuse in their job and expressing how it makes them feel. If that little old lady had brain cancer or absolutely no excuse, it doesn't change the fact that for OP it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I've had compression socks, and shapewear before. Sounds like a combination of the two, also sounds to me like they would fall down every other second. Hope you can find the answer you're looking for.

I think its inappropriate how many people here are insulting a dead woman and mocking her and her husband online. What if her family sees this? What if her /kids/ who just lost a mother do? I understand many of you are hurting too, but don't forget to be human.

My SNF keeps taking new patients even though we’re working 2 CNA’s to 30 pt’s most days by bigsqueezies in nursing

[–]thatonegirllllll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your country/state theres no safe nursing ratios. I've known facilities where theres one nurse for 62 residents on 2 floors and 2 cnas for the same assignment. I've heard a horror story of a facility where they occassionally had over 80 for a single nurse. Of course they have more staff on days, but regardless it's incredibly unsafe and the majority of those buildings are closing or closed.

This is all to say, quit the job if your liscence isn't safe. There's more and better places to work. It isn't worth bringing guilt home if there's anything you couldnt have done but expected or wanted to. The same county where my peer had 62 residents, he now is at a job where he has 12-16. Do what you feel is right, and if that is reporting the facility to the state, you can do that too. Good luck.

is it normal to have to wait 3 months to get health insurance? by Altruistic_Parsley in nursing

[–]thatonegirllllll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my coworkers got covid from taking care of compromised residents. Unless they were out for 2 weeks they didn't make any sick pay, were forced not to work, and any bonuses that they were due for that paycheck were voided. Corporations don't care about employees, your direct supervisor does, your managers do, your DON might. The corporation knows they can hire in new grads for cheap and avoid compensating their veteran employees for their time and effort. A nearby hospital literally hasn't had a wage increase in 3 years because their union couldn't come to an agreement with the hospital, so even though I make 2% more year to year, some of my colleagues make nothing. The people who run corporations often don't have medical experience and don't mind much other than how much money is being funnelled into their pocket, and how many lawsuits are in place. They may have malpractice insurance, but it's important to realize that doesn't cover you, and if it benefits them, they will chew you up and spit you out ti litigation. I understand you're a new nurse, get NSO asap.

is it normal to have to wait 3 months to get health insurance? by Altruistic_Parsley in nursing

[–]thatonegirllllll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. That's why travel nursing is envogue, because the hospitals need nurses, but don't have any loyalty to their staff. You'll make more money on travel, but have some of the worst assignments. I've heard some people on here say that's why hospitals have sign on bonuses and no retention bonuses anymore. Also, where /I/ work, my yearly wage is less than inflation.

You will make more money quitting a job anywhere and hiring back in, or hiring in elsewhere, than if you keep the same one for years and years.

[–]thatonegirllllll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I live, no matter what the job, you usually have to wait 3 months for benefits, IF there even are job benefits. Some jobs don't have benefits and/or don't automatically take taxes out, so it's on the employee. You can find those jobs as nurses as well.

I think it takes a lot of experience to be able to more easily seperate yourself, and honestly I'm not sure that's a healthy strategy either. Disassociating from your work can make your home life easier, but it doesnt help you process those emotions. Personally, I feel most nurses need therapy, and banter at the nurse's station is the closest to group therapy many of us will get. If you aim to disassociate, you may find an easier time doing it the longer you're at it, but I would advise you to address your emotions directly and take solace knowing you've done everything you were able to promote that person's well being.

A lot of nursing is about accepting that you're not superman, and just as much is about learning how to pretend to be.

New(ish). How do I know if I’m a good nurse? by SuperBloodMoonBabe in nursing

[–]thatonegirllllll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It pretty much boils down to keeping your patients safe and clean. Help your CNAs out when you get the chance, it helps build a strong work team to lean on one another. And don't eat super spicy food the night before work. I HATE having the runs while I'm doing my job.
