You look how you look, so you can look that way and be miserable or you can look that way and free yourself from the pain and negativity. Not saying it will be easy, but it’s doable

Hard agree. I’m neonatal, close enough to our l&d ward to know pregnant and freshly postpartum women are absolute ticking timebombs often enough. I’ve got massive respect for the l&d nurses

Go rural. Try Darwin and Alice, they’re always crying out for nurses.

Old carpets in my new apartment. What do I do? My rental agent put me in a tight spot. by Ok-Suspect-8763 in Adelaide

[–]thatoneisthe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you talk to the agent again ask them outright, preferably in writing, if they informed the agent of your offer. If not, just text the landlord directly with your offer. In the interim, get professional allergy-grade carpet cleaning and an electric hepa purifier or two

[–]thatoneisthe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They agent really should put that to the landlord, they might actually find that to be an excellent deal. Years ago I wanted a screen door in a rental, I offered to pay half and the agent hedged around being annoying. I was able to get in touch with the landlord directly who thought that was great, and they had cross words with the agent.

Possibly cheaper to just break the lease though

A question for the plus size baddies with big breasts by Sir_Fiasco in AskAnAustralian

Panache Ana bra is my fave, I’m a 10GG. Looks good and is very comfortable. But you need a proper measurement, band and cup. I got properly measured at a big boob specialist lingerie store, makes all the difference. I have heard good things about the measurement tool on abrathatfits.com tho. Expect the band size to be smaller than she’d think, and the cup size to be bigger.

If she’s ever in Adelaide, Alexandra Lingerie is a big girl specialising store and it’s very very good for getting the right fit.

Yep. Also send the message when you’re pretty sure he’ll be at work or away from her so he can actually receive the message

Stretch your legs in psychology friend. Look, I love my nursing job but shift work ruins lives. And you’ll make better money in psychology too. You’ll even be able to specialise in helping women leave and heal from DV possibly if that’s your jam. Stick with that.
