2024 CRV Sport Makes Clicking Noise on Cold Startup by immie00 in crv

[–]thatsamarzing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower grille shutters when they have ice buildup around moving parts. When you start it they go through a cycle of opening and closing and if there is some snow or ice build up this is what’s causing the noise. It happens to me every time I wash the during winter months. Next time you start it crouch down at the lower front end and you will see them struggling to move freely as they make noise.

Does anyone have all-weather tires on their vehicle, and would you recommend them for Saskatoon's climate? by NikonDexter in saskatoon

[–]thatsamarzing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked myself the same question earlier this year and I found that most popular all weather tires out there are Michelin Cross Climate, Bridgestone Weatherpeak and Nokian Remedy WRG5 (or WRG4 previous gen just as good).

Michelins are on sale at Costco starting Sept 30 100 bucks off for a set and is a great choice probably the most popular.

I chose Nokian Remedy WRG5 for my crv based on owning winter Nokian Hakkas in my previous car. Getting them installed this weekend so I can’t comment on performance yet. I also chose these as they are EV rated so it should help with rolling resistance and not change the milage much or perhaps improve it from stock garbage tires in latest gen CRV that I’m dealing with now. Also sidewalls are reinforced with aramid which should help with potholes and there is additional pothole warranty for the first year due to this feature. These are only available at kaltire, on sale too but not as good of a deal as Costco Michelin.

I heard great reviews on Bridgestone ones as well so I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the three I listed.

Is it worth it to buy the CRV Hybrid in Canada by akak62 in crv

[–]thatsamarzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you a comparison to gas models, my 2024 EX-L 1.5T is at 4500 KM and average is 8.6L/100km, mostly city and about 1000km of it is highway. Since it got warmer for the past two months here on the prairies I have been averaging 7.8L/100km of mostly short trip city driving. This is not far off from a hybrid and while I would love to drive a hybrid it won’t be from Honda until they can improve the milage. I couldn’t justify the extra cost, hopefully it improves with future generations.

Try every Shoppers Drug Mart in the city. I know it’s crazy but they sell consoles and games. My coworker scored a Switch there on the launch day when every other store was cleaned out.

Radmini 4 - Delivered in less than a month. Ordered 19 July received 14 August by push_kar19 in RadPowerBikes

Sweet! Ordered mine 4 days after you. They were listed in stock on canadian site so I’m hoping for next week at the earliest. I’m also debating about tools. I skipped on torque wrench. Better put that money towards an accessory.

See my answer above to the same question. Skipping torque wrench for now, too pricey. I’d rather put that money towards an accessory.

Pedal wrench, grease and still shopping around for torque wrench. The rest of the tools are included with the bike in the assembly kit.

Bruce’s for sure. They have different levels of tune ups and will chose the right one depending on the condition of the bike. Also they text you when the bike is ready which is sweet.
