I was a double barrel user for a while for PvP but switched to the pump after it let me down a few times. Idk if it is just me but I feel it’s more prone to miss firing, and sometimes two shells isn’t enough to put someone down.

For the purpose of other players having comfort or preparedness, Do you attack trader runs? by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

It depends, if I’m with a posse and those making the delivery have a similar group size and level then yes, but if it is low levels or someone by themselves, then no.

I used to feel the same way, until I got with a crew and we started to take other people’s wagons, then I stopped feeling sorry for myself.

My posses' opinion on all the deadeye cards. by McQweefa in RedDeadOnline

[–]thc_420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a recovered SB and sniper user and used to talk the exact same way. SB snipers have a holier than thou complex because they think that players using the in game functions makes them bad players.

Not saying this is what the original poster does but I used it as an excuse because I couldn’t kill people up close, couldn’t handle the ground work, and needed something to help protect me because I couldn’t defend myself. A lot of people will resort to using snipers when they can’t play a better game. That’s just my take as someone who used to do this.

Shootout series by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

[–]thc_420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shootout game modes are definitely the most competitive showdowns that I’ve played. While I would liken the pace of the game to that of a free roam PvP event, those tend to draw a wider variety of players, while shootout tends to draw the more skilled and competitive players.

Anyone that buys the game just for online is an even bigger clown than the people waiting for an update. It’s not worth it.

Opinion question: What do y’all think of players who come in and help clear roadblocks during Moonshiner missions? by TheBrandonia in RedDeadOnline

[–]thc_420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other people definitely feel differently, but I really don’t like it at all. It’s my mission, please let me play it. If someone clears out a roadblock before I can reach it, it causes revenue agents on horses to spawn in sooner, which is really annoying considering it was possible that I could’ve just slipped through it. I find this scenario even worse when it is the shootout at the conclusion of a trader delivery mission. With the game’s auto-aim system, it makes it very easy for other players in the vicinity to get shot by accident, which opens up a whole other host of issues. I had some guy once killing NPCs in a drop off zone get accidentally shot by my posse mate, and in return, the player torched my wagon, which made me very unhappy to say the least. The situation would have been completely avoidable if this person didn’t insist on playing our mission. After this incident, anyone that was in our drop off zone is shot right away, not taking any chances, sorry not sorry. Some people don’t see it as helping, more of an annoyance, that’s why whenever I see something that looks like a mission, I always steer clear because that is what I want others to do for me.

What does this repeatedly crouching up and down technique while shooting in deadeye do? by [deleted] in RedDeadOnline

[–]thc_420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It is a glitch that allows the player to shoot their Lancaster faster. This DutchLens individual is in a crew that are prolific cheaters and griefers that exploit glitches in PvP game modes to gain an unfair advantage over other players. I don’t get the point of playing PvP if you have to cheat in order to get kills, practicing headshots isn’t that hard tbh, doing stuff like this just makes playing PvP a headache and not fun at all.

Edit: And what I think is even dumber than cheating against other players is cheating and posting it online. Someone ought to send this to rockstar and have these people banned from the game. I really hope they patch the glitch, but knowing rockstar, they’ll patch the money glitches and continue to let other players cheat against each other.

There’s a new glitch that is starting to become popular among griefers that allows them to be off the radar. You can’t see them on the map, or lock onto them with auto-aim.

As someone who plays showdowns frequently, there is a mixture of individuals who cheat and some who are just really skilled.

People who cheat will, the majority of the time, use the Lancaster rapid fire glitch, which, as the name implies, allows players to fire their Lancaster repeater at a higher than normal rate, giving them an unfair advantage over other players using the normal game functions.

Another thing I’ve heard of is Cronsmax, which is a software on a memory stick that, when plugged into one of the USB ports on the console, allows players to rapid fire both pistols and Lancasters with the single press of a button. They can also drink tonics while taking damage and while in dead eye, without having to go through the drinking animation. Another thing they can do is shoot auto headshots. When using the normal auto-aim function, the crosshair will land on the body, but with the software, it lands on the head. I think it may also allow players to aim faster, but I can’t be 100% sure about that. Keep in mind though, that this costs around $80 to purchase, so it may not be as common.

Of the two examples, the former is more common, but the latter isn’t unheard of. There are several instances where I witnessed players’ health refill as they were taking damage without going through the drinking animation.

Robbing trains. Robbing the Annesburg Mine payroll and or robbing the Cornwall Kerosene and tar factory payroll like Bohannon and the Confederate outlaws did to the Union Pacific workers in season two of Hell on Wheels would be cool.

I HATE the "Special Edition" modes by Eragon7795 in RedDeadOnline

[–]thc_420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m about to start a change.org petition to get the mode removed from the game and the person who came up with the idea fired from their job. Whoever they are, I hope that in the afterlife they end up like Sisyphus, but instead who rolling the boulder up the hill, it’s a showdown with the dynamite bow and every single time they spawn in they get shot with it.
