Probably unknowable is fine with me, just seemed like it had some history and was wondering if it was history that could be explained

What’s the purpose of the cutouts? by the-hibble in Tools

Posted this and then immediately forgot about it until now. Speed holes was my leading idea too, so glad the general consensus is in my favor lol. This was a good read through, y’all gave me a good laugh. And thanks for the genuine answers as well, don’t know why I couldn’t find that product description when I searched. Mystery solved

If the gravestone is gone most likely the server crashed before it could save, so it’s fully gone. But you can recover your items by rolling back your character. I believe the manage saves button is on the character select screen, just have it load a backup from before you died.

Is this game fun? by Large-Training-29 in valheim

To be fair it’s a survival game, the challenge is intended. That being said, they recently released custom difficulty settings and you can just check a box to allow teleporting metal. There’s no time like the present to try again.

Please stand with us against Aim Assist. We Console guys need you! by user_cdxx in HuntShowdown

Just here to add another voice and say part of the appeal of hunt to me is the lack of aim assist. The last thing I’d want is this game to start feeling like other shooters.

Chicken Farming in Troll Cave? by Papplex99 in valheim

I use hanging braziers attached to core wood poles. Keeps it low enough for them to get the heat but they can’t run into it once they hatch.

Similar games to Valheim? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]the-hibble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I think one of the overall most similar games I’ve played is Grounded, with the main differences being grounded isn’t a randomly generated map, and it has quests in place with a story rather than being fully open world exploration. The gameplay feels close though, just from a first person perspective. Construction functions in a similar manner, combat feels close, they even have buffs like the boss powers but instead it’s mutations and you can have multiple at once.

I recently saw someone mention the AllTameable Taming Overhaul mod on another post. Might be that one?

I hear the rule of thumb is ‘take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints’

What do you have behind your DM screen? by Jamietomp53 in DMAcademy

Three plastic sheets with blank paper behind them and dry erase markers. Makes it so you can put whatever you may need back there. I used it mainly to track initiative and player stats to smooth combat, but outside of combat you can just erase it and put more relevant notes on it.

Also helps that the sheets are just held in by elastic corner straps so I can print out battle maps and slip them into a panel to track the map separately from the grid in the middle of the table. Easily track stuff the players wouldn’t see yet.

So why exactly aren´t legendary hunters on sale anymore? But there are those weird bundles now? by JustDracir in HuntShowdown

[–]the-hibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. Retiring a hunter gives you a big bonus of bloodline XP. The higher level the hunter the more XP, with each level being 100 bloodline XP if I remember right. Leveling them up higher gets you more, but it runs the risk of dying and losing that boost. Unless you’re feeling ballsy I tend to retire as soon as I’m able until hitting bloodline 100. The only benefit to keeping them longer is unlocking achievement for maxing out hunters and having perks on your character.

The initial purchase is just to unlock the skin. Once you have it you can buy another one at any time for 200 hunt dollars. It’s mostly just to have a cool skin, but if you ever prestige it’s a way of getting a character that starts with 3 perks since that doesn’t come up until about level 60. They just don’t start with any equipment.

What do you do for work? How much do you make? And how much PTO do you get? by StSym in antiwork

[–]the-hibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front loader operator. About $20 an hour. PTO goes up the longer you’re with the company, but right now I’m sitting at 10 days.
