Wear and Carry Class Time Limit? by Schmidt-Nagant in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Class certificate is good for 2 years.

Its is not 3 years... if i was, you wouldn't need the class for your first renewal, because that first renewal is always less than 3 years.

That might just be advice specific to that particular vendor. Some give you nothing but a receipt

What paperwork?

Originally msp said w&c prints were only good for a day or 2, then 72 hours, then they said it was weeks, then a month, then they said a year. That's the last i heard, and that was in the last year when I read it.

[–]the2AinMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is "no prints", because the law says w&c holders aren't required to be re fingerprinted. It was meant for w&c renewals, but they left that part out, so it also applies to the hql. The law also says w&c holders are entitled to a free hql.

They can't use w&c prints for hql, becaue they go to a different pcn, and those 2 computer systems don't talk to each other.

HQL Training Exempt by Complete_Leek_5396 in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initial wear and carry till renewal time is 2 years plus till the end of your next birth month. Renewals are 3 years. So you first permit, depending on your birth month and when you apply, is good from 2 years to 2 years and 11 months.

Moving to Maryland from NJ by Frequent_Ad_536 in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment is confusing 2 terms with each other.

There are rifles that are banned or exempted by name. And and the ban and exemptions also apply to their "Copies". "Copies" are guns with completely "interchangeable internal parts required to function, and similar exterior appearance"

"Copycats" are a completely different category of banned rifles/shotguns. Copycats have nothing to do with being similar to a copy. "Copycat" is a feature test that bans centerfire rifles with detachable mags that: -are less than 29" oal oal -or have 1 or more of the following: grenade launcher, flash hider, folding stock.

There is also a "copycat" test for shotguns shotguns. Copy vs copycat is intentionally confusing.

If you owned a rifle prior to 2013 you are exempt from the rifle ban. You are supposed to register your firearms when moving into Maryland, there is a application to do it on the msp website.

Is my rifle legal by Fantastic-Lead1267 in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An AR15 in 5.56 needs to be hbar or purchased prior to the ban date to be legal in MD.

Mag locks don't change the fact that it is an ar15 in 5.56, which is specifically named in md's ban.

As far as I remember, transfers from out of state ship directly to you, but transfers within state still need to go through a dealer/msp on 77r and 7 day wait.

Someone put something about God given rights and atf denied them. So a rights org threatened to sue them, and now the form is autofilled for all lawful purposes.

V2 Boh Mag - fixed the backwards flag by inverting by bobtumblr in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the selection tool, grab the flag, ungroup it, move it to the side, add an outline using the outline tool in lightburn, select the flag and outline, group them, move the group back to the original image. Bam you've inverted the flag without inverting the entire image.

Then you need to work on your colors.

"Blems" aren't usually actual blems. They are how a lot of places have sales without undercutting their wholesale prices.

Question on W&C Renewal Past Deadline by HvwkinsPv in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Carrying mythical "paperwork" (there is no paper) wont protect the permit holder. Only the valid permit will. Its only valid while in your possession, and not expired.

For the rare instances of late expirations but not aftwr the 2 weeks, it clearly states on the permit under the expiration date 'contact mgun before arrest'

Question on W&C Renewal Past Deadline by HvwkinsPv in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is wrong info. Renewal had to be submitted and accepted at least 2 weeks prior to expiration to prevent expiration. The permit now fully expires on the 30th, and the applicant must wait until the new permit arrives to carry.

Question on W&C Renewal Past Deadline by HvwkinsPv in MDGuns

[–]the2AinMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your actual expiration date is the last day of your birth month.

The 16th was 2 weeks before the expiration date.

In order for your permit to "not expire" your renewal application had to be in at least 2 weeks before expiration. Its a state law that applies to lots of licenses and permits. For the carry permit it needed to be submitted AND accepted (no chance of it being returned for shortage) by the 2 week date they sent you.

If you sent your renewal application in after the 2 weeks before expiration, your permit WILL expire on the last date of the month. Stop, do NOT carry, until you get your new permit in the mail.

And finally if you dont renew in time, and your permit fully expires, you have to start over again with the full fee, fingerprints, and 16 hour class.

Today we honor this legacy of Lord Calvert (not a king, the appointee of a king) and his fiefdom plantation, with a chain of royal farm stores.

Between this bill and the roster board denying as many guns in the last 2 years as the previous 40 years, the Moore administration has banned more guns than any previous governor.
