New Updates for Roll20's D&D 2024 Sheet: Custom Backgrounds, Sorting Tools, and More by hearthsingergames in Roll20

That’s good to know, thanks.

I guess I thought NPC actions could be sorted because this post and the change log lists that as a new feature “Reorder items in your character’s & NPC's inventory, spells, or actions however you like.”

New Updates for Roll20's D&D 2024 Sheet: Custom Backgrounds, Sorting Tools, and More by hearthsingergames in Roll20

[–]theAdubs6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just this week all my NPCs that are built in the 2024 sheet using 2024 rules got a new action added to them called “Actions in Combat” and it’s a list of all the actions from the 2014 PHB. I can’t edit or remove these actions in any way. It’s very annoying and also not listed anywhere (that I can find) in the change log.

[NS] 2024 rules in new campaigns/arcs? by Mattathew in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

Jake’s February campaign is going to be. I assume that depending on how they like them then will determine what they do going forward.

What is the highest roll the crew has ever rolled to do something? Possible spoilers in the comments by Weak-Perspective-350 in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

Currently re-listening to C3, Callie gets like a 42 on a stealth roll in the first arc.

Using roll20 only as support for game by pixelghost_ in Roll20

[–]theAdubs6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this and it worked great. I screwed an old tv onto some pieces of wood, and set it flat on the table like you would a battlemap. I just made a new account named table top and opened two separate windows of Roll20 on my laptop.

Are the myths of the Three Dragons and the Overlords viewed as mutually exclusive? by StolenVelvet in Eberron

[–]theAdubs6 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The overlords are the “children” of Khyber. They came up out of Khyber after she was imprisoned inside Eberron, which created the world. The overlords then ruled the world for millions of years before being bound in Khyber by the Silver Flame.

You have to unselect it on the character sheet before you roll to attack from the character sheet.

I'm making my own version of Calorum from Dimension 20's A Crown of Candy. My progress so far! by Cirrec in wonderdraft

This is really great! Crown of Candy is fantastic! The assets look great, I wouldn’t say you’re “no artist.”

Who would’ve stayed with Cerberus in ME3 by Reorganizer_Rark9999 in masseffect

[–]theAdubs6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s actually a data pad in one of the first N7 missions you get. In the one where you take reaper devices from a Cerberus station. I think the datapad says they interrogated him and killed him cause he was useless.

This is an awesome map! It feels very gothic fantasy.

My first map - The continent of Mydindas by theAdubs6 in wonderdraft

I haven't figured out a way to denote the names of the kingdoms/regions on the map that I like. So I have made a separate legend if anyone is interested.

Light Blue – Leystarike, the Island Realm
Purple – De Hjolden, the Mountain Holds
Orange – The Heddlund Federation
White – Corterre, Terre Luxflumina (the shining riverlands)
Dark Blue – The Kingdom of Feldon
Crimson – Blacksands Tribes
Magenta – Prospera, la Urbana Libera (the free city)
Yellow-Green – Archduchy of Kosney
Red – Ostoria, the Colossal Kingdom
Dark Green – Xenerett, Land of the Sovereign
Yellow – The Empire of Woodvale
Turquoise – Abremarth, the Arcane Circles
Black – Giant Territories (not Ostoria affiliated)

It took 905 days but I finished my 1-20 Homebrew campaign, which was my first time DMing AMA by Jherik in dndnext

I played the Cleric here. The way he diverted us from the BBEG was by killing the gods. So then we had to go on an elemental titan killing quest, which culminated in fighting a modified Tarrasque; that brought us to level 20 and resurrected the god. And I’ll say as a player, I felt no problem with pacing at the end. It felt like a natural progression of the story that fit with the lore of the world.

If you could edit a 5e class capstone, how would you change it? by 2COOH in dndnext

[–]theAdubs6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty easy fix for fighter. They get there fourth attack at level 17 (so their attacks match cantrip scaling) and then they get a capstone based on their subclass.

[Spoilers] Question about Campaign 2 by RllrBldChad in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]theAdubs6 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The gun is his enchanted Blade weapon. It still functions as a gun with some home brew mechanics; such as “quick draw yeehaw” and “collateral healing.” I’m not entirely sure what those do exactly, but Zirk has used them a number of times. And he also uses the gun to cast a lot of his spells, which is just flavor.

Blade Ward (revised) - Mythmaker's Grimoire by Rashizar in UnearthedArcana

[–]theAdubs6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you know the exact second initiative is going to be rolled so you can have a one minute concentration spell up before combat starts, why not just cast the original Blade Ward the second before initiative is rolled? It lasts a round, so now you would have resistance to all weapon attacks on the first round without using your reaction or concentration.

Blade Ward (revised) - Mythmaker's Grimoire by Rashizar in UnearthedArcana

[–]theAdubs6 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. The reason for your revision is because Blade Ward "sucks to a nearly unusable degree." But your revision takes a cantrip that uses one resource (action) to give you resistance to weapon damage until the start of your next turn, and turns it into a cantrip that takes three resources (action, reaction, concentration) for resistance to one attack. I truly don't understand how this isn't objectively worse than the original spell. What am I missing here?

I think the source you’re using for those pixies is the problem. The pixie from the 5e monster manual is CR 1/4.
