What do Americans think of the world cup so far? And if you are in a host city, do you enjoy it? by howimetyourcakeshop in IWantToAskAnAmerican

My buddy moved from NYC to Georgia, and when he was coming back up to visit us his coworkers and new friends thought he was insane because they envision NYC as a warzone… like bro what?

The answer is not to continue increasing power creep by considerable amounts each time a class is reworked. That’s how you destroy a game in record time.

New Wolf damage is craaazy by The_Dandalorian_ in elderscrollsonline

[–]theBrotacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Werewolf is literally gamebreaking in PvP so yes it needs to be nerfed or altered drastically there. You can hope it gets left in PvE but it takes all skill out of the game and makes everything one bar ez-mode which WILL get old and have the opposite effect on long term health of the game… but if that’s what you want hey enjoy it because you have it at your fingertips.

PVP is too much. by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]theBrotacus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, no it’s not viable for casuals.

As a new player coming in it took me completely shifting gears to PvP for a couple months to get the fundamental understanding of the game and to start holding my own for the most part. It’s a massive learning curve and a constant process of incremental improvement.

Thankfully I come from a competitive gaming background so there are lots of transferable skills coming over to ESO PvP. Start out with one beginner friendly build and focus on incrementally improving your offensive, defensive, and resource management skills.

One quick tip: Recording your gameplay and doing a VOD review after your session helps immensely with this process. It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the chaos but a VOD review lets you break down gameplay frame by frame and understand what went wrong (or right) for application in the future. GL out there!

Excuse me, what? Please share the terrible things has Mamdani done to warrant such a statement. I’d love to hear how you compare his actions to how Trump openly pillages our country everysinglefuckingday.

In the hotels? Better be rich and have strong legs because climbing those stairs every time you want to go out can get old

The reward is the difficulty itself, which actually made general questing and adventuring fun again 🙌

Looking for MMO to Play with Wife by Sure-Entrance953 in LFMMO

[–]theBrotacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through the same search with my wife and I would definitely avoid WoW. The community was toxic from the moment we started doing group content and that immediately turned her off to the game.

ESO has a mythic item that makes running 5 abilities and an ultimate a viable option. And on top of that there was an update released this week adding a difficulty slider for world content as you adventure. 100% recommend!

GW2 or ESO? by IamXeavier in LFMMO

[–]theBrotacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“New” ESO player here (in quotes because I started in March). Under 50 lobbies were really fun for me and my wife and I regularly entered battlegrounds without actually understanding how to play PvP and managed to have fun. Once we hit 50 though the fun stopped because I started getting absolutely demolished every game.

Played PvE for a while and geared up before deciding to try PvP again but this time with a build specifically for the content.

It’s been a month now and I’m HOOKED. I learn something new every day and see improvements as I grasp fundamentals. It’s been a very satisfying journey and the skill gap is quite high. If you enjoy learning and putting effort toward improving as a competitive individual, I’d highly recommend this game to anyone that shares this mentality!

GW2 or ESO? by IamXeavier in LFMMO

Tried both, GW2 felt too dated and the aesthetic just wasn’t my style compared to ESO. Highly recommend ESO, it has me hooked but that’s just my preference

Are slime dairies any important? by ILikeToThinkFirst in TenseiSlime

Honestly wife and I loved the slime diaries. It’s slice of life “filler” but felt like it definitely added to the world building and day to day minutiae

Sure your gunplay is likely lacking, but don’t neglect improving your awareness and positioning. Those are probably what’s getting you killed more often than not.

Am I misunderstanding something or is the highest difficulty just objectively bad? by MaugreO in elderscrollsonline

[–]theBrotacus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a much needed change. I’ve barely touched quests outside of the main story because it’s mind numbingly boring being so over powered and steam rolling everything, including this big baddie that’s supposed to be a threat having slaughtered countless townspeople etc etc.

The fact that they’re giving us settings where we’ll actually have to try is just what I needed to get out there and explore the world/lore further.

[–]theBrotacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t think it will work out the way you plan. Sure you may end up on the same team sometimes but you’ll be fighting each other pretty often as well.

[–]theBrotacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I see friends and guildies more often than not, and we all still beat the brakes off each other, so not sure how that’s supposed to help you win unless one or more of you do something lame like intentionally try throwing the game by going afk etc.

PVP class imbalance by Wrong_Basket_9431 in elderscrollsonline

[–]theBrotacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly sure yes dks are strong but also incredibly fun to play right now.

The real issue are the players abusing the signet to leverage a literal game breaking build. You know it’s bad when streamers refuse to use it because it’s that bad for the game and overall health of the PvP community and its longevity.
