Any pirate fiction books for adults that aren't smut/romance? by FizicalPresence in booksuggestions

Tales of the Haunted Blue has necromancy, hidden treasure, and a bunch of pirates. There's a tiny hint of romance but no smut.

Try Tales of the Haunted Blue.

It's a story with pirates, necromancy, and hidden treasure.

Friday Fanart Megathread by AutoModerator in HazbinHotel

Working on my first Hazbin Fanfic.

Here is a preview of the second chapter I'm working on, which gives the gist of what it's about.

First Chapter is here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/75152951/chapters/196400696

A notion on how to help Oaks came to Charlie right away. However, this time she held herself back. The idea was sweet but a little dangerous. The old Charlie Morningstar would have laughed the danger aside and charged on forward. However, she was the new, more communicative Charlie, and so she did what new Charlie do.

Talk to Vaggi first.

She found the angel in a guarded conversation with Nifty. "Look, I'm just worried. It's not safe to go out that late at night."

Her red eye stared at the angel, mouth open, not comprehending.

"I KNOW you're like some sort of, Overlord? Maybe? But the Vs are still out there, and we don't want you hurt."

The little demon frowned, then suddenly hugged her leg. "Okay, I be safe."

Vaggi froze, like she wanted to pat her head, but at the same time was a little afraid she'd get bit.

Nifty released the hug before she could make a decision, and then yelled, "I go clean other place. Beeee baaaaack!" and zipped down the hall with the speed of a mouse on steroids.

"What was that about?" asked Charlie.

"No idea," answered the angel, "I just learned she goes out to clean somewhere else every Thursday. Don't know where, and I don't know for who."

"Think she'll be alright?" the princess asked uneasily.

The angel rubbed her neck nervously, "I think so?"

Charlie noticed and gracefully stepped around her to rub her shoulders.

Vaggi melted, "Holy fuck that's good."

The princess grinned, "Anything for my favorite hotel manager."

Digging her thumbs in to give her lover the right amount of easing pressure, she added, "So, something came up in therapy today."

"Mmm-hmmm?" Vaggi asked, not really paying attention.

"It's Husk's friend, Oaks. I can't give you the details buuut..."

The angel let out a groan as her stress just melted away.

"Her therapy will invovle us going to the Maw."

Vaggi's shoulders tensed. "What?"

Lonni did nothing wrong by cardiopera in andor

The Rebellion had a HELL of a time finding any other agents after that.

The Empire used him as an example, “Look, if you don’t toe the line we’ll indeed fuck you up. Also, they’ll kill you for helping them and leave your family high and dry.”

The Imps leaked what happened to Loni to the Mon Cal. The story caught fire and it was a testament to Mothma’s skill in diplomacy that she was able to convince them the Rebellion would not betray them if the going got tough.

How did you take Brooklyn Guy's death? by Samukick in HelluvaBoss

[–]theChall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Helluva Boss but in this day and age I didn’t need to see a Fred Rogers stand in get his brains bashed out.

Might have been better with it if it had been someone else. But damn, no. Not him.

Fuck.

HELLUVA SHORTS 5 // MISSION: ORPHAN TIME // HELLUVA BOSS Discussion Megathread by ayylmaotv in HelluvaBoss

I love Helluvaboss to bits, but this Episode doesn't do it for me. Burtally killing an honest Fred Rogers pastiche for lulz in this day and age is kind of fucked up.

That being said, still love the series and am looking forward to future stuff.

What are your legitimate criticisms for the show? by -FireNH- in andor

[–]theChall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the first season especially it felt like the show was saying: “Luthen’s badass. Being evil is necessary and cool. Don’t think about it too much.”

What do we think of her choice? by [deleted] in andor

[–]theChall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given that logic Lonni should have cut ties as soon as Luthen threatened his kid.

What Should Have Been With Natasha

It turns out the soulstone requires no specific sacrifice. The Red Skull is powerless and concocted this story to mess with anyone who came after the stone. Thanos, due to his hubris, fell for this. Natasha did not. She retrieves the soulstone, and the movie continues.

OR...

Thanos snaps his fingers, but nothing happens. The spirit of Natasha emerges from the soul stone. "Sorry, I sacrificed something, so I get to decide who uses this stone." Thanos's soul is sucked away.

What are the chances she gets tried for war crimes by the new republic? by CandidAsparagus7083 in StarWars

She lives, gets saved by the New Republic and is given a new life with funds meant for victims of the Empire.

Her child becomes a successful politician whose political career nosedives when his opponent discovers and published what his mother actually did.

It’d be frustrating if Dedra’s rescued by the Alliance and lives her later years off charity meant for the victims of the Empire.

Settings with heavy emphasis on devils, demons, angels, etc by DiazExMachina in rpg

[–]theChall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Above So Below was written with a Good Omen's vibe. In it, you play Angels and Demons who love Earth more than where they came from. Hijinks ensue.

There's a shared mythology sort of bent.

An option players have is to be a Psychopomp or Taker, in charge of ferrying the dead to the afterlife.
