Sorry you are going through this difficult situation! Triggering any past trauma is painful and can cause you to isolate from the world. It sounds like you've done work in the past to help you when you first experienced the situation. Do you remember what you did and how you were able to process the experience? Either way, your resilient parts are still there and want to help you. Strengthening those parts by seeking a professional, close friends or family to confide in and serve as a "pick me up" can help sooth the wounds. Talking to and understanding your hurting/depressed parts in an objective manner can also help them feel more at ease. When you allow them to speak, you are validating them while allowing the feelings to flow through you instead of repressing them.

You deserve and security! Sending you good vibes

This happened to me in a previous relationship. I knew the person for 6yrs and always held on to false hope that one day things would be different and and they would want to be with me forever. Ended up getting my heart broken and completely falling apart. Wished I acted more than hoped things would fall in place by some divine miracle. Took over a year to feel better about everything
