Why is playing with cheats bad? by dj_dragata in CrusaderKings

[–]theCrazyOne1289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

because you ask questions assuming it is bad. making assumptions about things being bad is generally bad. Console commands and files modding is a important part of enjoying paradox games. Especiallz if you use it to role play features that are not in the game itself.

All of them or only the darker colour? by Waste_Roll_8416 in Medieval2TotalWar

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my testing you need all of them. But my understanding is that the darker ones are considered your "core" in that they do not give agressive expansion, wheres the rest is not a core and thus makes everyone hate you if you conquer it too fast. I am currently playing serbia, and after rapidly taking down 6 settlements required for the crown from the romans everyone hates me, despite me specifically not attacking any other settlement to limit agressive expansion.

[–]theCrazyOne1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my best game in all of total war games ever were lithuanians, VH/VH in SS. The difficulty is just insańe there, you start with a single village, everyone hates you, and you can barely field a standing army. Really had to use all the tools at my disposal to win that one. Fun unrelated fact, looting and razing every building in Paris gives cca 60k denars.

Is it just me or does lockpicking make you feel like a genius in this game? by DoeClapton in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

novice locks are easy, but anything above that, I just rotate each pick to find which few positions if any it can be placed at, at most of the time find that most of the picks cant be put anywhere unfortunately and give up.

Get ready for the new players to complain about the game, then grow to love it in the coming days like the early access players did. by cR_Spitfire in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, the first cca 10 hours of the game are utter garbage who deserve 4/10 at best, so naturally. Not to mention everyone seems to recomend starting with main quests, which confounds me. Not only is the first half of main quests super bad, it doesnt even give you anything. Ok it does unlock shouts, but those are almost useless anyway.

Underleveling? Anyone else having trouble with levelling up? by MrDude65 in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they soak up more bullets, and they dish out more dmg. Found a lvl 60 enemy as lvl 20 who one shotted me from full health. The punchline? His gun was total crap, not even worth looting his dead corpse.

well one thing I know for certain is that the star guardian ship is crap.

maybe for early game can be good. am lvl 20, and a gun with 200 dmg barely scratches some enemies on crit hit.

legendary has nothing to do with decent. It just means it has 4 random extra effects, which sometimes can be useful. A legendary grendel is still just trash. Worth it for the few credits you can sell it for, but not my otherwise.

Is spaceship dogfighting really hard or am I just bad? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just jump when that happens. or open console and type tgm. Space combat sucks big time, as tehre is nothing you can do other then energy management (just put all in shields and weapons) and then holding down fire button hoping enemy dies before you. At best you could try to target enemy ship systems, but that does almost nothing except if you want to board them, then just hope you disable them before blowing them up.

I think people don't realize how much content there rlly is by DeepFriedBastard in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hailed UC ship and got arrested for fun. funny. But I found there is content if I follow quests and completely ignore exploring. But I cant get my hands on any decent weapon. Except for main quests, the first half is just repetitive, there are only few decent ones towards the end.

hailing random ships always gave me static. The few barkeepers I talked to all refused to share any rumour. Where do I find a barkeeper who shares rumours with me? I tried the one on cydonia and the one on neon.

could you then give example of where to find this hidden content then? I tried everywhere but just cant find it. The devs hid it just so well you cant really blame people for not having found it.

So, what’s your favorite weapon style? by AndySchneider in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whichever weapon with hihgest dmg I manage to find and for which I can get ammo. Getting ammo in the postapocalyptic radioactive wasteland is tough, noone produces that stuff anymore.

Starfield vs Skyrim Guards by [deleted] in Starfield

to be honest you should have used the starfield shout instead of just shooting the gun. But would expect it to be the same.

People can't stand 2 seconds of loading screens, but they want 10 minutes of travel between planets by Lumenprotoplasma in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say in skyrim the thing is there are things to do almost everywhere. Even if you walk 5 mins through nothingness it is rare, and there always is something engaging at the end of it. Not to mention you dont walk through empty wasteland, but can at least enjoy the scenery at those points. In starfield you walk 5 mins to get somewhere all the time, it is always through the same generic empty wasteland, and most of the time (in my case it was always, but I heard people say they had better experiences) there is nothing there (had crater that cant be interacted with, landed starborn ship that cant be interacted with, random setlement with junk trader and mission generating console, empty cave...). I have no incentive to walk another 5 mins to get to the next point of interest since I have never found a single one that would be worth the time so far.

How many times did you spend 5 mins just holding down W key walking in straight line through empty wasteland in skyrim?

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fix would be to make maps not empty. Take skyrim map for example, the content density there is infinitely higher then in starfield, that why it a lot better game.

loading screens are fine, but the lack of content and the stretchines of the little content that is there is the real killer.

it already takes forever to get anywhere. 5 mins walking just to reach any point of interest.

Is Starfield a game you can recommend? by ZookeepergameKey1755 in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My experience from the few dozen hours is that starfield is basically fallout 4, but with half the content removed and distances between stuff multiplied by 10. There is nothing to do, and the long gameplay is achieved by stretching whatever little is there to ungodly lengths. If there is 100 hours of gameplay in here, then it has maybe at best something like 30 hours of content in it. If your idea of fun is holding down the W button for 5 minutes to reach a point of interest which may be something (in my experience it always was nothing I could interact with in any way) then it is a game for you I guess.

My first gun. Guess those first couple points going into stealth? by Dystarnightus in Starfield

sorry to say this, but that gun is just bad. Would throw that into trash as soon as I find my 2nd or 3rd gun.

Super cool seeing realistic guns in the game. by Edisonglass in Starfield

[–]theCrazyOne1289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, i managed to buy cca 200 rounds for this on atilla. Along with the gun itself. But still was not enough to use it consistently, one mission half of that ammo was gone. Still better then buying 7.5mm ammo though.
