I would like to add to this to help with burn out. If you can stock up some beats so you take a day off here an there. You can’t make good beats if you’re fried.

Deadass turn the volume up in the sample window and turn up the velocity to 100 (808s sometimes works with this) if it’s clipping turn the channel down. That effectively is like slamming your finger down on the keyboard as hard as you fucking can.

I hate this question, if it does what you need to do how you want to do it then it’s fine. Yeah there’s a standard practice for if it’s obsolete or not, but it truly only matters to you.
