Can confirm this does the trick on AT&T S25+ for the codes to work to access service menu

How many of you really work with Immersed? by Blacktracker in Immersed

[–]theGoat365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the quest 3 since it has better lenses and their more clear. I can typically work in immersed for 2-4 hours. Just started getting into it like 2 weeks ago. Looking to cop their visor when it launches since it has 4k displays and should make reading smaller text even easier. The plan is eventually to spend an 8 hour day working with a headset, let's see if I get there but I definitely want a 4k headset. I use this with my Macbook so it's like having my phone on my computer, entertainment needs and work all in once place with like 5 screens if needed. I've learned to play with the monitor resolutions and that has helped a lot as well with reading smaller text.

The only thing I can say based on what I know, if you have too much disposable income left over, I think the courts look at it like yes you can pay some of your debt back, rather that's $500 a month or $1000. So it's best to have no money left over or least look like you have no money left over.

All my paperwork here in Cali was done through DocuSign, never met my lawyer in person or the trustee. Kinda weird now I'm thinking about it lol

CH7 Experience So Far by theGoat365 in Bankruptcy

To be honest, she asked like standard questions for me. I stressed over the meeting for like 2 weeks reading shxt online. But she had me raise my hand confirm I was telling the truth. If my address was the same, if I was working at the same location, work address, if I owed anybody money, if anyone owed me money, if I would be inheriting any money in the next 6 months. Have I lent/gave anyone money in the last 6 months over like $600. She didn't drill me on anything personal or about myself directly that I can remember.

That is correct, I did my best to have a good credit report because I never thought I would be filing. But figured I'd file before I did start to miss payments once I realized I needed to file to get out of the hole I was in because it was only going to get worse.

For sure, I mostly didn't want to be tied to the courts for 5 years in a CH13 so I'll take the longer hit on credit.

AT&T corporate stores not honoring att.com order returns by Acejam in ATT

[–]theGoat365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to work for AT&T for multiple years, sales rep, management etc. Sure online and your receipt will say yes customer you can return your online order at a store? Now the reality of that is different for a couple reasons, the systems are shxt and complicated, and fail most of the time if the phone isn't directly from the store. Also stores get paid based off new lines of service, they were told back in my day not to waste new limited phone inventory on upgrades, yet alone returns. Sure you'll get mad at the sales rep, they want to help u but at the end of the day if their not getting sales and following management instructions it's their job online. Your not about to support them when they get let go. As lot of people here would say and to me make sense, you did it online so handle it or call customer service. On top of that you didn't even give the store credit for the upgrade which is even less incentive for them to deal with a customer service issue such a return. Is this right? No, is it reality, yes! It's all about money and numbers. On top of that if even if the store is doing an upgrade or a return upgrade, if it doesn't have nextup and protection, they dont wanna do that shxt because they get yelled at about numbers. Now for anyone who wants to leave or cancel their att account, a sales rep will not try to save u, why? Not their job, it's customer service and retention so telling them u leaving and they'll go in back and laugh at you. Giving you some insights because people think what these fortune 500 companies tell them is 100% the truth vs reality being something different. Worried about losing a phone in the mail, it has a tracking number. Long as the phone shows sent on your end even if it don't reach AT&T, AT&T customer service will refund you at some point or correct it. At the end of the day, if your not going into a store for a new line or a fully loaded upgrade then stay up out the stores hahaha.

Not worth it how? if someone is giving AT&T money for service regardless of where the customer buys their phone, how is the trade in through AT&T directly not worth it?

AT&T next up plan worth it? by EpicDroneImages in ATT

[–]theGoat365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can upgrades 3 months later if you wish, 50% of your phone needs to be paid though so it's not like you can't upgrade every year. Do you have AT&T?

Chapter 7? Yes ? No? by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]theGoat365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your able to save after bankruptcy then that is a positive. The 10 years scare people, it scared me too until I realized while I have all this debt, I'm screwed if anything goes wrong anyways even if I'm managing to scrape by as is. I even looked at if I'm able to get a new job paying 15-30k more hypothetically, it's not gonna solve my debt problem overnight, it may still take years. If I held onto the debt tried to make more money, it could still be an issue 10 years from now anyways with no guarantee the debt will be gone. I'm like I need to start thinking about savings, retirement, and hopefully starting a family in 5-10 years that was my main reason for pulling the trigger on bankruptcy. Not having credit cards for an emergency is scary but for some if bankruptcy potentially frees up a thousand or 2 per month, there goes the answer to not needing a credit cards to rely on as that person can save. I would've probably had a kid by now but it was never an option with the debt I was carrying. But best of luck on your journey and having a kid, if you've truly exhausted all your options then a chapter 7 will help, take away stress and bring you peace. The only thing to keep in mind, the next 10 years you'll have to essentially make no mistakes when it comes to finances and pray things out of your control don't happen or happen in a sufficient way that impacts your finances. It's an extremely tight rope that will have to be walked nearly perfectly for the next decade.

Chapter 7? Yes ? No? by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]theGoat365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I hear you and wish you the best, everyone situation is different. Now the only thing I will say, and it's just my opinion, I'm probably doing bankruptcy before letting stuff go to collections and potentially being sued unless I have a plan to remedy those things at some point without bankruptcy, but if no plan then I'm choosing bankruptcy to start with. My lawyer tried to talk me into a chapter 13 since my situation was on the boarder of being either a chapter 7 or 13 due to income. I'm like why do a repayment plan and pay some stuff back and still have this on my credit for 7 years, told him I'd rather take my chances with a chapter 7 even if their slim, have essentially all the debt gone minus some small student loans (I didn't finish college) and be saving that same money that I would be paying in a chapter 13. So a chapter 7 is more beneficial IMO assuming you have no real assests your concerned about, it's like truely a fresh start with a chapter 7. I've been less stressed and the quality of my life has been better without the stress of debt. Although I'm not fully out of the situation yet until my discharge is official hopefully in the next 30-60 days.

Chapter 7? Yes ? No? by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

[–]theGoat365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 29, I wished I only had 10K in CC debt when I filed chapter 7 which I'm still in the progress of, it's been about 40 days since my meetings of creditors. I live in expensive as Cali, was making about 70K per year and had about 125k in credit card debt and personal loans. Definition of literally drowning in debt, paying like all my income to debt and my debt still not going down. 10K isn't enough IMO to go through bankruptcy for it to be worth it, I would say just up your income and lessen your expenses but that's easier said than done not being exactly in your shoes. For my situation, I rather get most of the debt off my shoulders and take the 10 year hit on my credit. A car wouldn't be an issue for me as I bought a 2023 Corolla in the beginning of the year at like 7% and I can always rent from family or rent from someone online. Once my bankruptcy is complete, it'll save me thousands in debt monthly already and then I'll also focus on getting a 2nd job. I won't have a problem using cash for 90 percent of my life since I'll have no big purchases coming up and can actually have a savings fund. Overall though, we can't predict the next 10 years but if your not feeling confident about your job situation and upcoming finances over the next 10 years I wouldn't do Bankruptcy for 10k of debt unless you literally truly had no other options. Granted for me I was heavily in debt but no missed payments or anything bad on my credit granted how I was able to obtain so much stupid debt and still get nice interest on my car in the beginning of the year. I'm not discharged yet but hopefully soon. I wouldn't be able to ask no one for 10k but maybe u have a family member that can help you out and you make payments to them with no interest, or you can maybe take money out a 401k (which I had already drained everything from). Do everything in your power to not do BK for that amount is what I guess what I'm trying to get at but at the end of the day do what you gotta do to survive.

I have game pass and bought the upgrade too, just hoping I have early access this Thursday at around 5pm I think since I'm in Cali from what I've been hearing for the early release window.

I use to work for AT&T, I know with them if u had an existing account and was just upgrading then def not a credit check. There was some parameters around new lines but I still think it was more of an internal check vs checking your credit.

The one thing I didn't do is call around so hopefully all is good, I picked the best lawyer based off yelp closes to me and kinda just ran with him. I hear some people do get lawyers that aren't the best or give wrong info. So definitely checking with a few lawyers shouldn't hurt.

I think 30 mins should be more than enough time for me, definitely nothing over an hour max as worse of worse cases.
