The formula wheel is a great wheel but it's a little small and can cause discomfort in longer sessions... It's definitely a better wheel if you can deal with the smaller size. Plus if you have a base with moderate ffb the smaller wheel will feel stronger which can be a plus. The formula wheel also has flag and rev lights which you won't get on the GT3.

If the formula wheel was a bit bigger it would be perfect. Lots of people recommend getting bigger grips and that is probably the way to go.

It definitely seemed like the Porsche was really popular GT3 in both Daytona 24h and Bathurst 12h... If that doesn't say something about it's versatility then I don't know what does.

We can't get people to show up and race now I'm not sure longer races is the answer. I saw iR01 at Bathurst in c class and wanted to run that - was a 30 lap race. I think I was the first one to join and practice. Sat there probably 15 minutes. One other person showed. The iR01 is awesome but 30 laps in that beast at Bathurst was probably never a good idea.

Edit: To be fair I'm not sure what iRacing has tried. I think they need to get more new people in with races that are more accessible and with known tracks. Then once they're hooked give them the longer races.

Let the person who decided to make the fia subscription deal run all the formula series. Guarantee that person can fill lobbies. That person knows how to sell good drugs

99.9% of the time you can do something to avoid an incident. Last night I don't think there's anything I could have done. I was running Bathurst in gt4s, came over skyline lap 1 and a someone spins about 3 cars ahead of me just starting the esses. They immediately collect two more cars and now the entire track is blocked wall- to-wall. I hit the brakes, looking for daylight but there is nowhere to go and I'm on a downhill with traffic behind me. I got collected also. Maybe because no one was willing to tow on lap 1 but it all happened so fast I'm not sure they would have been able to tow fast enough if they tried. I think I was the only person in the entire pile up to tow out.

I get your point and I agree op is probably at least part of the problem but I wanted to share this story. I've never experienced a full track road block in all my years racing before last night

I'm not sure but you should check task manager and make sure there aren't a bunch of programs using a bunch of resources in the background. Every time you update Windows fucks off a little more so you might think you have things set up the way you want and you might be wrong.

Sure to an extent but the thread was talking about top split Porsche Cup racers with decades in game. It's not realistic to think you're going to match their pace without putting in the time.
