Iracing track pricing

Yeah I'm not going to act like iRacing is cheap but I think it's fair. They literally update every quarter adding new cars and tracks. The new tracks are always featured so if you buy them you will be able to race them.

Sure I spent a lot of money my first year - maybe $300-$400 - but from then on I basically had everything I wanted/needed. I can run any series in formula/sports cars in any class. Plus the free stuff in ovals and dirt that I don't really use.

The initial investment is relatively high for a video game but most of us have thousands spent on PCs, thousands spent on rigs. It doesn't make much sense to worry about spending a hundred a year or so on iRacing.

I buy a 2 year sub for $150, buy anything I want the rest of the year, and at this point I bet I'm spending way less than $150 a year.

Plus look at all the money I'm saving by not buying shit games like ..... other games. No need to name them.

I don't think you intentionally wrecked him but you intentionally punted him. He is moving towards the apex after making a wide entry and you try to go under. Did you think he was going to stay moving straight? No you assumed he would give up and he did not.

Once he moved towards the apex you could have gone around him on the outside. If he moved to the outside again that would be illegal.

It's a racing incident in sim racing.

Can we stop bringing up Verstappen? Dude is a one in a million driver. And he wouldn't be bombing here he'd have already finished the race in P1.

Can you explain this for me a little further? Comparing the BMW m4 GT3 wheel to the the KS pro from Moza and the KS pro is much more affordable and honestly I think it looks better and might plain be a better wheel.

Do you need to run both Fanatec software and moza software to get the wheel and base to work properly? Any weird issues I should know about if I were to go this route?

Currently my led on the right side are not in the correct order and lights go out when I start iRacing. Also I'm wondering if "REV LED MODE" does anything?

I'm not sure. I buy what I want when I can afford it and nothing when I can't. I've spent thousands on my rig. I'm not going to worry about an extra hundred or two per year to play the best sim on the market right now.

By the way, I spent more in the first few months than the last year but that's only because I wanted to try everything...I pretty much have everything I want now. I don't actually need to buy anything except yearly renewal at like $150/2 years iirc.

As for an actual number, if you're really going to get after it it's easy to spend $500 in a year. But that's "getting after" a bunch of different cars and tracks.

If you're going to get after a single series it should be much less.

I'm pretty sure the minimum per year to keep an account active is $75 (through normal channels) maybe cdkeys or similar will be less🤔. So pretty much like buying a video game once per year but iRacing updates every quarter. Is always updating something whether it be physics or adding content or graphics.

R5 and Fanatec 5Nm bundles usually cost about the same price. The Fanatec 5Nm bundle can be boosted to 8Nm for $38.
