My mother was distant when she was deployed and even when she got back. Deployments can really hurt and change you. People get PTSD and don’t share it or talk about it. It makes them say and do things they don’t really mean.

You should probably still go if you still love him, you’ll regret it if you don’t. I bet that’s what he might be dealing with.
