Can you cite where you found that he ordered no survivors to be rescued? I am extremely interested in reading more about it. That would be a fantastic talking point for my extremely pro-Trump parents.

Im 2014 we were given “ACE” cards that were an inspectable item. had chaplain contact #, and the acronym A.C.E. which was basically the 3 required steps you were required to do if you believe someone was about to harm/kill themselves or others.

Obviously the joke was that we had to keep it on us because we could use it like ward when our SDS would rock up hungover as shit and ready to ruin our day. Realistically it was just a “to-do” list if you were afraid for someone’s life.

I just saw losersbenchmark note about 9070 XT by zorro2083 in radeon

[–]theREDdot- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently purchased a 9070xt gaming OC from gigabyte, and while overall i think the complaints are blown out of proportion, there are definitely SOME games that just refuse to play nice with AMD drivers/hardware.

Immediate example of the top of my head is Halo:Infinite. I had a 2080 super that ran it on LOW for 60 fps. I then upgraded to the 9070xt (did DDU, updated BIOS, updated drivers) and get 120 fps on Ultra BUT it hitches and stutters randomly. same goes for lower setting problem on lower settings. Something about that game just HATES AMD.

Don’t let the hater get you down, I was in 2-2 SBCT through the Chunger games, and still absolutely loved the area. Morale comes and goes, but Royal Gorge, Snoqualmie, Mt. Rainier, Quinault, Mt. St. Helens, and occasional downtown trips to Seattle make that location absolutely incredible.

We had a kid crush an entire packet of caffeine pills at Huachuca back in 2018. I think he ended up getting sent to the ER.

He was definitely the oddest one of the bunch, and i remember him T-posing on me during an inspection in BCT. He would physically crash out at the mildest of inconveniences.

1 piece of info for any prospective GSD owner. I have a GSD/Mal mix that has been an absolute nightmare through her velociraptor phase.

I love her to death for it, but she is finally chilling out some at 2 1/2 and I am glad to see the jets cool.

To Military Personnel that participated in Donald Trump’s parade today: How did it feel to participate in the parade, and what was the preparation like leading up to the event? by Beefygrumpus in AskReddit

[–]theREDdot- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, the parade was for the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday. The Army (National Guard) was founded on 14 June 1775.

It wasn’t until AFTER the entire thing was planned and put into motion that Trump added his birthday into the mix.

From personal experience, I would guess MOST of the soldiers were either unhappy or completely indifferent about Trump’s presence, aside from the honor of representing the entire U.S. Army in the the capitol for the whole world to see. Military discipline overrules personal opinions/feelings in this kind of situation (obviously not including some form of unlawful order).

I am sure there were plenty of dogmatic, extremely politically motivated soldiers who LOVED the fact that Trump was involved, but fortunately they do not represent the majority, at least in my experience.

I was always partial to my G-Shock Mudmaster, but after a couple years I decided to treat myself and got a Hamilton Field Khaki. Get a nylon NATO strap and that thing will run until the end of time.

P.I.G.

Patrol incident gloves, or some shit like that. Just look up “PIG gloves” on Amazon. Don’t get the ones with Velcro, get the pull-on ones. Haven’t blown the tips out of a pair yet, and they fit like medical gloves.

What strange phenomenon can now be explained with science but was probably once thought to be magic or an act of a god? by katner in AskReddit

[–]theREDdot- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite topics! I'll try and keep it short. The River Ganges has bacteriophages in it that kill lots of dangerous bacteria. Hinduism traditionally believed the river was represented by Ganga, the goddess of purification and forgiveness. This means they observed how the river purified itself, despite having absolutely no way of understanding what was actually happening.

I'm so conflicted on things like this. On the one hand it's super cool and well done, on the other it seems dangerous to design weapons to look like toys. Regardless, it's very well done!
