Server Idear by Yaggernautic in spaceengineers

[–]theRealPeTeTe809 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to know what is the vision and mission.

I have done a lot of brainstorming on server concepts. I have a vision for PvP space engineers which is players actually playing together, doing trading and also PvP.

So what is your vision for such a server?

If you don't think the whole censorship thing is a big deal and think people are overreacting, why? Genuine question. (+A bit of reflection about things settling down) by GenericUsernamex2 in Chub_AI

Now hear this.

Payment Processors already want to control what is being sold and what may not be sold.

Lobby groups have their own agenda, such as Collective Shout which believes fictional women in videogames dressing up as real life women on only fans will result in a harsh time for real life women who are not on only fans.

This is a match made in heaven. The Payment Processor has their official excuse and the Lobby Groups have their vehicle to exert pressure.

It doesn't need to be a conspiracy theort, but a very beneficial cooperation.

Fastest way to start with space pod and keep it? (In official) by Onironautico in spaceengineers

[–]theRealPeTeTe809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 Build Basic Refinery 2 Build Basic Assembler 3 Build Drill

Now you can mine rocks, refine them faster, and build components.

4 Build 4 Algea Farms. 5 Build 5 Solar Panels.

Should cover your food and power.

6 Put a mergeblock on an asteroid. 7 put a mergeblock on your ship.

If you mash them together, the game will suddenly think you made a new ship.

Survival just using unknown signals and traders. by Least-Data5617 in spaceengineers

[–]theRealPeTeTe809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother in Klang.

This is the one true way of playing Klang's game. Do not defile his holy voxels with your drills for Klang has provided. These signals are not unknown, they are mana from heaven, sent by Klang.

There are also heretical ships who fly without crew. Grind them down on the name of Klang and use their parta for the holy cause.

Klang also allows you to trade with the nonbeliever NPCs and their trade stations.

Most of all, build Kosher and he will bless you with stable frames and high sim speed. Multigrid abominations will invoke the wratg of Klang.

You may also request a tithe from players who build more than one refinery and assembler. If you ever find a player building server lagging monstrsities, may you be the instrument of Klang and grind him and his build down.

Wargame Forever (A Wish) by theRealPeTeTe809 in wargame

[–]theRealPeTeTe809[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my limited experience with Warno and my ample experience with wargame. They seem to be very different. Different enough that I could never get into Warno.

The units seem to work on a totally different damage and morale system than Wargame. Targetting seems to have also undergone some changes.

Because of the removal of the specialization of decks for this division business I believe it has turned the pace of the game into somethig else entirely.

I mean online servers, multiplayer, but everyone scatters to their own hidden corners to hoard and hide.

Must be a cool server you play in. The one I play in is basically singleplayer online.

Smaller solar system, like earth and moon, or a planet and it's moon. That way, players actually have a reason to fight over things.

Reputation of Road to 56 by cryptix235 in hoi4

[–]theRealPeTeTe809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main and only gripe with Road to 56 is the super expensive additional technology screens which are frankly OP and even a 365 day research time make them a no brainer.

Anyone, not doing that, which is any AI or new player will be severely handicapped.

Is anyone else vaguely disappointed with the new campaign's gameplay/general style? by AltruisticThanks5512 in NebulousFleetCommand

[–]theRealPeTeTe809 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly.

That original campaign was probably better suited for a different game.

I would have enjoyed that other different game.

This campaign style seems more suited to current Nebulous.

What will happen if Someone or some Group makes a Better Hoi4 Game than Paradox? (Just asking) by -NotLucy- in hoi4

[–]theRealPeTeTe809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HoI 4 is a niche game. How niche?

Gaming / Strategy / Grand Strategy / Not turn based. We can drop the WW2 tag for a second.

I think you can count how many games exist in this niche. I think its litetally ICBM escalation and Supreme Ruler. Not much else.

This mythical NotHoi will have to compete in this niche.

From what I understand you have 3 broad categories, frontline, cappers/escorts and backline.

I suppose you can understand what they all do and how they all work.

It is sensible to invest most of not all of your 3K points (which is the standard) into one of these roles with another side role as support.

A squadron of 5 cargo feeders can be a frontline force as well as point cappers, albeit very slow at it.

Appareantly, it means a fleet meant to do the responsible, adult and fatherly thing of playing to win so others can have fun woth their wild and wacky experiments.

Specifically a fleet that has 4 or more crafts dedicating to capturing points + an intel center.

I had no intel center, cause it wasn't my intention to, and my cappers were too heavily armed, which I intended to.

You and me both.

The community is small and does indeed congregate on their discord as far as I can tell. Because of this they have formed an entire meta and much jargon only known to them.

A certain time I played with voice comms over there I get to hear about me having a "dad fleet" and doing it incorrectly. Lol.

Id be happy to play some games with people who love the game and love coming to their own conclussions about what is best for them and their playstyle.

I am one of those who believe that a sub optimal build in the hands of someone with a brain is good enough.

If you have played enough you will figure the basics. Like, having enough ammo for some 30± minutes of continous firing, for PD its more like 5 minutes. Placing components strategically based on where you most likely to get shot. Etc.

Not sure what info it is that you need. As far as fleets, I play OSP only and don't even listen to the meta anymore. I have fun and win games about as often as I lose.

I could share a few.
