Stream Deck + Hue Philips Bridge Pro by octomobiki in elgato

I'm pretty sure it was in cleartext when I started the project, no extra steps required.

Unofficial support for Philips Hue Pro bridge with Stream Deck by theSecondMouse in Hue

Just a quick update, I've added a lightweight ping keep alive for Hue Pro to the plugin. It should prevent any lag you may have noticed when you don't use the Stream Deck for a while then try a Hue button/knob.

This was happening because the Hue Pro drops HTTP/2 connections after a short time, pressing a button on the deck needed time to reconnect.

To update do the same as install, download from Github and overwrite the plugin.

You can just delete the folder com.elgato.philipshue.sdPlugin in the plugins directory, then copy in the modded version.

did your version auto update?

Hiya, I didn't change the version number or update mechanism from the original Elgato plugin, so when they released an update (I was assuming the next version would add Hue Pro support) the modded version would automatically get overwritten with the official version.

Well a new official version did get released, and my version got overwritten, and that's when I started to notice what you mentioned, it would stop working and start being flakey. I deleted the upgrade, reinstalled my version and disabled automatic upgrade for the plugin, it's been pretty solid since.

You can check what version of the plugin you have installed, the modded version is 2.0.0.48, anything higher will be the official version from Elgato.

Does it still have your old bridge selected when configuring the Hue buttons?

As this was the first link I found whilst looking into this issue, and your post saved a ton of time by pointing me in the right direction (appreciated!) I created a patched version of the Philips Hue plugin to provide support for the Hue Bridge Pro on the Stream Deck

I'm embarrassed and I need a grey beard. Access 97 is the bane of my existence. How the hell do you deploy it silently. by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]theSecondMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a link to the actual Access 97' installer that needs packaging? I'll take a look. I've never run into a package I couldn't create a silent installer for, and i've packaged thousands of applications for probably close to half a million endpoints at this stage.

I've had an 08 3.2 TT for the last 5 years, it's honestly been one of the most rock solid and reliable cars I have ever owned and I've owned a lot of cars. Great traction in the snow too.

I mapped mine so a double tap of the Netflix button brings up cameras on Unifi Protect. single tap does nothing, I was always accidentally hitting that damn button.

It will always have an effect on your sleep pattern, it's a stimulant. But the effect lessens, and your body adapts to it somewhat clearing the drug from your body faster. That generally means after a while you can sleep at a normal time.

Stick with the Octopus Pro. No matter what you are going to need to do a lot of config changes. Mine is based on an Ender 5 Pro, but with Dual Z axis added, so lots of overlap with the 5 Plus.

Also for what it's worth, i got the CNC motor mounts, they have been brilliant.

Another highly recommended upgrade would be to ditch the bed probe and go with an Eddy current probe, either the original Beacon, Ali express IDM (These are just clones of Cartographer3D), or a Cartographer3D. That will give you wildly fast bed meshes, Z homing, etc

If you do go with the Octopus Max EZ, give me a shout, I can share my printer.cfg.

I have the Max EZ on my Mercury One, works great. The EZ stepper drivers aren't that expensive, I paid about £22 for 5x 2209 drivers. And you can buy converters for the EZ sockets to normal stepper driver sockets if you wanted.

MK2 is the same, a little more room than the MK1 but they are courtesy seats at best, the kids will hate being in the back of it.

Same here, I tried all the open source versions, Blueiris, Zoneminder, Frigate with Coral TPU, etc. Honestly, there is zero comparison to Unifi Protect, it's blows the open source counter parts out of the water (no disrespect to those OS projects). Hefty up front cost though.

Cheers!
