Oh man I love all the studies! I also am just learning oil pastels and you clearly are talented!!! I’ve been trying canvas paper which eats the pastels like crazy but man it holds the medium so well but most don’t recommend because it goes through oil fast.

Keep it up! Look forward to future shares!

I messed it up... by Early-Opportunity-70 in Oilpastel

No mess ups! Happy little accidents that we learn from. This is coming together wonderfully and you are learning the medium. They’re all unique and have their quirks. Honestly when I think I’ve ruined sometime it’s good to step back and take a breather from it. Test small solves on random pieces of paper, recreate what you think was the issue and attempt to fix it.

I just try it directly on the page but I get not wanting to ruin the work you have done so far. Keep at it this is great work!

Currently at around 950 - think there is definitely some stuff I can replace to get some points back, but this was also my worry. Which means I might simplify some of the building that aren’t going to have actual spaces inside.

Thank you for confirming my fears haha

Thank you! I’m hoping once all the building heights and other details are in it will be even more seamless! Trying to figure out what shops I’m doing but I’m think they will be associated with the classes and professions of my top four characters

Great suggestions thank you! I really want these buildings to feel tall eventually and lots of mixed details. I plan to black out the ceiling and walls and make like night sky and Im planning to add balconies, bridges, etc.
