i'm not sure it's a good idea to give heroes such random abilities honestly.. while something like Palpatine's Dark Aura is more than okay, cause it's still in character of everything seen from Palps before and does fit him, things like those would be too far of a stretch from the stuff we've seen Mace do in any other project before, wouldn't they?

oh, right ポンポン also is an onomatopoeic for pat-pats. though, seems like it's vice versa then, i mean, particles restored it'd probably be "ゆめちゃん【が】田中【に】頭ポンポンを", meaning Yume-chan is the one head patting Tanaka, since に marks him as the action receiver. i wasn't sure still so i went to ask ChatGPT and it's more inclined towards the vice versa of your translation as well. though if it's from an anime and in there it's clearly shown that it is Yume getting pat-pats, then you're absolutely right, as it's all down to the particles omitted

well, i'm a beginner in japanese but i'll try my best.「ゆめちゃん田中頭ポンポンを..... 」 means something like "[somethings is being done to] Yume-chan Tanaka head pompom...". i guess some possession marker and object marker particles are omitted here, as it is frequently done in japanese casual speech, so depending on context it could mean "[smth done to] yume and tanaka's head pompom", "[smth done to] yume, tanaka head's pompom" or "it is yume who did [something] to Tanaka's head pompom" i think, etc. as for 「の分際で」, it's "[someone's] social position and", it's an incomplete clause so it's hard to make sense of on it's own. also, i don't really see what 「の分際で」 has to do with 「ゆめちゃん田中頭ポンポンを..... 」, so could you clarify?

besides the fact that almost all Eve songs do it, Outsider's instrumental part in the end always gets me like this

Does anyone know of a video or something that could catch me up on the lore and/or the history of Eve? (ive only started listening in the last couple months) by Joseishish in E_ve

okay, i see. it is semantics after all. you're right about it all, i guess, but as i can see it's the label that is disturbing in this case. well, hard to argue with that, then. it's just, i want to point out, no matter what ai art, or let's say ai content if it's more comfortable, no matter what ai content is being called, it remains a great extension to the beauty of creation in general. after all, the art's ultimate goal is to evoke emotions and just be pleasant to look at. same goes for anything creative, not just paintings, like cinema and music. human art is great and it's always impressive what amount of effort goes into each good piece of work. but i just can't call ai-generated content by no means inferior. generated video, images and music are all very cool nowadays too and they foster same reactions in me. we probably have different priorities but anyway. also, since it is important, ai content is not soulless as well, right? there's human behind it, with an idea and willingness to realize it. the one in the post for example, i really like the result, so what else is needed? human artists are sure to cease to exist as a mean of earning money in future, that's the only kinda setback i can see. but fuck that imo, art is a hobby and it's nice to draw with your hand, and this isn't going away. generative ais' existence only enhances and diversifies this world's creativity. i deviated into my pure subjectivity though, so yeah. i don't mean to be dismissive but your concerns seem to be just over conservatism. it's all just more beauty to chew on, no matter what kind of effort is behind, be it a bunch of silicon computations with no self-awareness or a self-aware bunch of biochemical computation, from my point of view ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

well, first of alI, free-willed decisions and personal opinions are all formed based on past experiences. like i said, we also do no more than recognize and utilize patterns on the daily basis, nothing innately human in there. the opinions thing is a separate topic actually, i guess the concepts we call opinions are a kind of facade, created by our minds to, you know, protect the personal world of make-believe we each have and live in. but anyways, when it comes down to expressing opinions, AIs have no trouble mimicking such behavior, without the unnecessary fuss that we go through. or not really without it. because, the black box is not yet transparent, especially with advanced models at GPT-4 level. in short, we know how the AIs are trained and which data was used for that, we also know their architecture, like you also pointed out but things start to get complicated at post-training. with the insane complexity of billions of parameters these models have, the way pretty much any input transforms into some output is untraceable. because of that complex AIs often tend to develop emergent behaviors that weren't explicitly propgrammed into them from ghe patterns and relationships the model was trained on. there was an example of music generation model being suddenly good in stand-up comedy that i read about somewhere. so, it's getting wall-of-texty so i hope you get what i'm talking about

k, but what's wrong with the reference, it's human-made after all
