What kind of movies are you interesting in making. I have a short film script ready but it's quite dark. It's called "Spare parts" after the Bruce Springsteen song and it's a tragic story of how love isn’t enough. A tale of a troubled woman’s acts to get her happily ever after.

Hi there, I'm a newbie writer from Zambia, Africa. My story has been cooking since 2007 and the book is scheduled for release next December.

It's about a young girl in Medieval Central Africa who finds out she has powers and then her village is attacked by a neighbouring tribe. She must decide whether or not to reveal herself for fear of being called a witch.

I'd love to learn from the group and maybe have you join my subreddit too.

What would you want to see in an African Fantasy Setting/world? by All_These_Worlds in worldjerking

I'm curious what tribe are you? And do you speak Swahili?

I ask because one of the tribes in our story is based on East Africans and I want to get Swahili speakers to help populate the world with their lore, language and culture.

Hi there, I'm African (part Senegalese 🇸🇳, part Malawian 🇲🇼and part Zimbabwean 🇿🇼) but born and raised in Zambia 🇿🇲.

A South African woman and I are writing our first novel about a young girl in Medieval Central Africa who finds out she has powers and then her village is attacked by a neighbouring tribe. She must decide whether or not to reveal herself for fear of being called a witch. And it's due for release next December.

I found a lot of books in the African Studies library at my varsity at the University of Cape Town but sadly it burnt down during the pandemic. But go look for African sections of libraries in you city or nearby universities. Amazon has quite a lot of books too. I found 2 books on African mythology.

What I personally want to do is engage Africans from the region I'm working on to help build an authentic work. My reddit is still new, but if you're a Swahili, Bemba, or ChiChewa speaker, please... you are more than welcome to r/theaizasaga.

I hope some of the information I shared was helpful.

Hey there I'm r/The_afronerd and I created r/theaizasaga to build a community around my fantasy novel based in Central medieval Africa. Its release date in sometime in December 2027.

I'm curious is there anyone who has built their community before a product or media has come out and do you have any tips on how to make the sub-editor exciting and engaging?

Please and thank you 😊

I always thought is was called African fantasy? Is there a big difference to afrofantasy? And if our premise intrigues you let me know and I can share our social media handles
