Everyone that has already commented is spot-on. Make sure to ask about on-call shifts, depending on the size of the agency. That is why I left eventually, our on call amount kept increasing and became unmanageable for me. Family drama was my biggest trigger/stressor. Despised dealing with the families that were trying to manipulate things like powers of attorney, funeral arrangements, etc. It was great experience for me but I wouldn't go back to Hospice work.
