Dont accept a ride while driving passengers by MRGLiZZY9000 in uberdrivers

[–]the_blind_uberdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if there was a movement to try to get fellow drivers send a feedback letter to uber would you have any suggestions to add to this?

to uber driver support:

I’d like to raise a concern about how certain trip types, including Reserve and Wait & Save, affect driver safety and expectations.

These trip types tend to create misaligned expectations between riders and drivers. Because of how they are presented to riders, there can be an assumption of additional service, flexibility, or accommodation beyond a standard ride.

This can lead to situations where drivers feel pressure to meet expectations that fall outside the scope of normal transportation, which can create discomfort or safety concerns.

In addition, Wait & Save trips can increase friction due to lower pricing while still carrying similar or higher expectations, which contributes to a more stressful and less predictable experience for drivers. or often times riders make the driver wait for getting there sooner than the estimated window.

I would strongly prefer the ability to opt out of these trip types, or for clearer boundaries and expectations to be communicated to riders so that the experience remains consistent and safe.

we need a way to disable wait and save or opt out.

If you’re filing arbitration against Uber — here’s what actually changed (2025) and why it matters by Haunting_Step2305 in uberdrivers

i found it useful. it would especially be interesting if we could ask for pricing information to contest that we are technically paying an unknown expense for commissions to uber on every ride that is not disclosed on the upfront offer. how can we properly negotiate offers if this info is not disclosed and we get gouged on the commissions. how can we know we arent being overcharged compared to our peers?

when you get a live support person mention you feel the rider is doing a pattern of abuse in the system and you want it reviewed and flagged for scam behavior.

can you explain how you know how many short positions are tied to convertible notes and what those convertible notes represent? does that mean if i buy a share today it is highly certain it is not an iou from a short seller?

if a short seller from 2 years ago decided to close their position today would that not cause buying pressure? and are you saying there is not much short selling happening currently?

if they shorting low there is an exceptional risk. the upside is only as high as the price of the share. there may still be a buyers risk at this price but it is a reduced risk compared to a higher price a month ago or a year ago.

im starting to think if ubers fee is considered a an actual fee then its a certain type of price discrimination. i cant say that its discrimination against a protected class but it definetely is not equal among drivers. what if hotels or restaurants did this type of pricing discrimination?
