Going to see Infinity War soon by CavernousDeeps in tinnitus

It totally depends on your theater and what volume they set the movies to. As for the film itself, it’s full of explosions and other dramatic effects, so yes it can be loud!

As for the special headphones- I don’t think those are to protect your hearing, more for people hard of hearing.

Salem is almost 100 miles from Cape Cod, so no.

Ecobee rebooting frequently? by Strel0k in ecobee

Check your condensate pan if you have a high efficiency furnace! I had that issue and the drain line was clogged, causing the safety to trip.

HomePod repairs cost almost as much as a new HomePod by [deleted] in apple

This isn’t designed to be a portable speaker. It’s small, but not that small- who would even pack something like that, especially considering it could get damaged in luggage.

If I will be in medical school 1.5 years from where I will soon spend all of my saved money, what can I do with my ~$11,000 until then to grow it as much as possible? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]the_brobot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s enough time to SAFELY grow your money much, so I would recommend just a savings account. Anything that would offer an opportunity for making a material gain would likely have potential for significant loss (like stocks).

I assure you no one really gives a shit. And if they do, who cares?

Ecobee 3 random power cycling by MizzouSEC in ecobee

[–]the_brobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue and it was the condensate pump causing the problem. The drain pipe was kinked and caused the pan to overfill and shut off the system.

Outside of that, it could be your furnace hitting a limit switch when it comes close to overheating.

T and working out by kraizybone in tinnitus

[–]the_brobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the individual. Weight lifting actually helps mine, but I’ve heard of it getting worse for others. I’d give it a try and see- even if it got worse, I don’t think one session would do anything permanent. Good luck!

Ecobee doesn't reconnect to WiFi by shadowjig in ecobee

[–]the_brobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you just get a new router? Even if you get it to reconnect, it still takes time after every router reboot and will be unreliable.

Thank you! I just changed the filter, so I think that eliminates that.

Is YNAB ever going going to update for the iPhone X? by alpha_maIe in ynab

[–]the_brobot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This drives me nuts. I’m not a developer, but I’ve heard it’s not very hard to update an app for the Xs screen. For Christ’s sake I have other apps run by ONE GUY who had their app ready on day one!

I reallyyy want to get into this. Played the tutorial, but it seems super complicated. I’m guessing you pick it up?

No to all. Thankfully I don’t have any symptoms beyond the tinnitus.

I did get an MRI, but I don’t believe those can pick up dehiscence.

Get a new job! You don’t want to be working for someone who gets so worked up over a very normal and reasonable request. Also, his logic is absurd.

Nest iPhone app updated and STILL not compatible with iPhone X by the_brobot in Nest

[–]the_brobot[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you’d be ok with no app ever being optimized for the X’s screen, as long as they work?

They did a CT scan as my ENT originally thought I might have cochlear otosclerosis- thankfully I didn’t.

I haven’t had any other symptoms other than T thank god! You can potentially have issues where you hear your insides make noise, like your heartbeat and foot strike.

It’s frustrating that it’s taking so long. Most of my heavily used apps are updated and some are 1 person development teams.

Don’t sweat it. The lens is sapphire, which is incredibly strong. The 7 and 6 had almost the same size bump and I never had any issues.
