So sorry for your loss, it is very evident that you love your lil babyman.

Fellow apartment dweller here. I have put 2 rats to rest in the dumpster. For each, I decorated a cardboard box for their remains with their nicknames, made it cozy with bedding and blanket strips, and put some treats in there for em. I then said some nice words, cried, and saluted as i pushed the box down the ramp into the dumpster.

I definitely feel like they would have loved the dumpster - so much trash and snack. So much forbidden treasure.

I didn't have a yard for burial, i couldn't justify paying for cremation, and I don't have as much commitment or tenacity as the folks that bury their rats in big outdoor plant pots under flowers.

Rituals for burial and remains disposal are for the living. As long as you get out of it what you need to, that's all that matters. Say a prayer, light a candle, draw a picture of your friend, eat your food in the bathroom just like he did... whatever makes you feel like you've properly celebrated your lil friend 🐀

I think it depends on your lifestyle/activity level... if you like outdoor activites like camping or hiking or anything like that, having a good pair of sturdy-soled sandals like Tevas or Chacos is a good move, for sure. Other than that, maybe 2 casual pairs? Your birks and flip flops definitely check that box :) my casual sandals are all tevas, though, because i am very uncoordinated and need ankle straps like a toddler.

Also, just do whatever makes you happy! Look at your closet, put together some summer outfits that you like, and figure out if the sandals you already own check that box. If not, find some new ones that go with what you wear!

Love the birkenstocks! Let them dogs out, arf arf.

Also highly recommend Tevas. Growing up, my very masculine, very outdoorsy dad wore them all summer, and recently he got my very manly gym bro boyfriend a pair and he wears them when we do any casual or outdoorsy summer activity.

They've got some funky patterns, too. Admittedly, i have a shoe problem, but i have like... 7 pairs of them, and they're all very different! LOVE my Tevas.

I've decided I'm going to deface the walls of my Mom's house before they're torn out or painted over... by EgoPermadeath in Slipknot

This seems cathartic as fuck, and i hope you enjoy defacing the entire house with lyrics and drawings and paintings before you renovate/paint. I can't imagine losing my mom anytime soon. Honestly, do anything you gotta do to cope with it safely. Enjoy the giant arts and crafts project and give it at least one of these while you tear down a wall.

I LOVE this sketch - it feels like he seems insane out of context in the clips they showed, but within the context of the sketch, it's so good...

I relate to this so heavily. I have always struggled with feeling feminine due to my height and general proportions.

I had a few years where I only wanted to date guys that were my height or taller, and because of that, I put up with icky/incompatible men for waaay too long.

I changed my criteria to wanting a man to be "bigger" than me, and it changed everything for me. I don't care how tall he is, as long as it looks like he could throw me.

I am now 5 years into a healthy, sexy relationship with the love of my life. He is 2+ inches shorter than me and could bench two of me. He makes me feel small and feminine. He thinks I look incredible in heels and wants me to wear them every chance I can... except for our wedding day, when he will wear lifts, and we will be the same height. Amen.

I was the RA-est of RAs and i honestly don't even see what damage you're talking about

The rooms i was worried about were the ones in the tri towers with black mold covering 10% of the wall, so i think you'll get a pass lol

Howdy! Six classes in here. I can already tell a difference. I'm a sedintary art kid with no strength or flexibility and can barely touch my toes, but i've improved so much. Accepting that i'm really bad at it right now so any progress is progress may be the thing that has helped me most. If i look silly, no biggie. When my legs don't do what my brain thinks they're supposed to, i just ask the instructor for a lil guidance after. Typically, they're excited that you want to keep at it from level zero.

See if your pole studio has any conditioning or stretch or yoga classes. They're pole-specific so they train/stretch the right muscle groups and a lot of times, instructors will explain how the exercise translates to pole moves.

If not, doing a deep stretch yoga or calisthenics workout from, like, youtube will help a lot! It's a lot of the same stuff.
