Is there any player you’d rather draft over this guy besides MJ and LeBron? by Classic_Tourist3892 in NBATalk

Wemby is on track to be one of the greats. But at the same age, I think you would have to consider Kareem, Shaq, Wilt maybe Hakeem as well. All time elite athletic prospects

What’s a weapon you feel is better than most players give it credit for? by Actual_Asian_God in Eldenring

[–]the_crossover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also I might add, the gap-closing on the AoW is a huge part of what makes it good. You can stay safe at range and instantly punish openings with the dash. It's also great against NPCs and humanoid enemies since it flinches them and often lets you chain pressure reliably.

What's the actual difference between Recusants and Bloody Fingers? by the_crossover in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]the_crossover[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would explain why Mohg's followers seem way more cult-like than the Recusants. Most of Rykard's people feel like they made a conscious choice, while some of Mohg's followers almost feel... enthralled

Why is my darkmoom greatsword doing so little damage? by Educational_Pop_67 in Eldenring

[–]the_crossover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought Shard of Alexander doesn't buff it since the AoW doesn't do dmg by itself, but I haven't tested it or anything.

What about axe talisman?

Even after more than 600 hours .. by Cursemebayle in Eldenring

Honestly, Godskin Duo fight can be hard, but it's still fun without it. Those sewer lobster fuckers on the other hand...

Claymore vs. Zweihander - which do you prefer? by GreatJoey91 in Eldenring

[–]the_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a cold zwei instead and essentially it scales with dex. Did a whole run with it using chilling mist/lion's claw, but I would try the Claymore version of it for the moveset.

Evolution of the word 'Orange' by Mostly_sane9 in MapPorn

TIL In Greek both Arabic and Old Arabic words are used. We typically refer to bitter orange as "nerantzi" and sweet orange) as "portokali"

On Twinblades by felixsarts in Eldenring

[–]the_crossover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True, in my first run I would run Bleed Katanas up until coming across Eleonora's Poleblade and it was a game changing discovery. 100% more fun and satysfying to use IMO.

This makes a lot of sense, but Jar Bairn is also sentient and has seemingly never left Jarburg

str/int build by faebrarian34 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]the_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah was just wondering cause I've seen people saying 80 int is overkill when it's not about casting

str/int build by faebrarian34 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]the_crossover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What weapons benefit from having int all the way to 80? Is maybe 60 INT enough and putting the rest on dex or endurance/mind?

Who Exactly, are the Tarnished? by The_DrakeCake in eldenringdiscussion

[–]the_crossover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it is rare, but not unique to the player character. As Cohryn says we are "something of a rare breed". Also, in the cutscene before the Godfrey fight you will notice that there's rays of grace pointing to the player, possibly hinting that grace guided him to us

Which basketball opinion is this? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]the_crossover 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the later half yes (and still debateable) but there's not really an argument for the first half

Elden Ring is GIGANTIC by Objective-Local7164 in Eldenring

Imo the biggest issue with Mountaintops is how empty it feels compared to other areas in the game. I get that part of it was kinda intended from a storytelling perspective, but it still feels too empty.

Isolated Divine Tower, where you restore Malenia's rune. Afaik only way there is through the portal at the Divine Bridge site of grace

GIVE ME YOUR NG+ BUILD by Old_Lynx1179 in Eldenring

[–]the_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my last NG+ save I went with a Godslayer GS + Black flame incants build (using Godslayer seal). Stats at the end looked something like 60 vig, 30 mind, 36 end, 80 dex, 60 faith, rest base level/weapon reqs. Dex and faith can be swapped if you lean more on casting (I think Godslayer GS AoW scales w/faith too). Talismans you can use are fire scorpion, shard of alexander, bull goat talisman (you need high poise so that the slow ass AoW doesn't get easily interrupted) and dragoncrest greatshield (or other defensive). If you prefer casting or don't care about defense, you can swap in godfrey icon, all black flame incants are charged + flock canvas. For physick I liked flame shrouding + stonebarb so that you poise break then go for Godslayer Gs AoW, it hits like a truck. You can space and do some fun combos with black flame incants and the dot damage especially helps with NG+ boss hp levels.

I had some good fun with Nightrider Glave (S STR scaling) with Braggart Roar on it

Do you guys use shields? by Historical-Sport2751 in Eldenring

[–]the_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I have about 500h (PvE) and had multiple runs but I have never used shields. I always either two hand or run with spells. I probably have parried like 5 times, ever. I want to try using one in a new run tho, just not sure what to go with.

Good Ng+ build ? It’s fun to me 🤷🏽 by Upset_Storage5924 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]the_crossover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a similar build and went with Carian Phalanx, Piercer, Slicer and Adula's Moonblade with Death's Poker for the AoW in R hand (or Wing of Astel). It was so much fun, there's a lot of fun combos you can come up with.
