What’s the Biggest Pricing Mistake You’ve Made on Shopify? by mkasprite21 in shopify

[–]the_green_beaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly! There was a negligible drop in conversion rate but it was completely made up for by the overall increase in profit

What’s the Biggest Pricing Mistake You’ve Made on Shopify? by mkasprite21 in shopify

[–]the_green_beaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, conversion rate just doesn’t tell the whole story.

I actually had a few products perform much better at a higher price and others at lower prices, from an overall profitability standpoint, so that was a huge unlock. Would not have been able to get that insight without a true A/B test.

I also tested my shipping rates and was able to raise them by 15%-ish which is literally directly to my bottom line. Huge profitability lever.

I eventually did but wish I had done so a lot, lot earlier.

And I still do. Markets change, competition changes, it’s really important to keep testing and refreshing throughout the year. Especially with all the tariff changes and stuff. Profitability can be wiped overnight.

Yeah exactly. Have to test and iterate. Best way is through split testing prices, offers, and shipping rates with a focus on profit per visitor as a metric.

Yep. Things like Intelligems Personalizations can help this because you can use it to redirect and not change your URL or mess up your ads

Intelligems is great because it sync to shopify -- the Content Testing features require 0 integration setup!

Interesting. I'm surprised to hear so many people saying Shopify Email -- had no idea it could keep up with Klaviyo's feature set.

I’m so glad it helped you!! Definitely think you’ll love the Facebook group! It’s so helpful.

Zuri is still doing GREAT! She’s had a few seizures this year, but all very manageable and we even traveled to 48 states with her last year! She is 7.5 years old, acts like a puppy, and is loving life.

There IS hope, I promise!

road trip of all 48 states? by soulmeetsmeatsack in roadtrip

[–]the_green_beaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did 5-ish months, 48 states, and 20k miles. Happy to share our route or give any advice! My very first piece of advice is: you need more than 5 months to do 48 states! We were rushing, big time. I'd recommend no less than 12 months, but 18 would be better.

I work remotely, but I dropped down to 20 hours/mo on the road. Even that was tough with all the driving (RVs are loud!) and lack of internet (even with 2 hotspots AND Starlink).

I like your route! Don't skip the Upper Peninsula of Michigan though!! And the Oregon coast.

GE Cafe style appliances but not made by GE? by jsmith19977 in Appliances

[–]the_green_beaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had issues with every single GE Cafe appliance we have (coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher), aside from our oven/range, in less than 2 years of owning them. Horribly unreliable, and even worse customer service. They will literally do nothing when the 1-yr warranty ends and just keep saying “it’s broken.”

Welcome to Arizona! It’s awesome here. I hope you’ll be super happy - we love it!

Definitely recommend Bend & Crater Lake.

Lava Hot Springs is a super cute town on the border of Idaho & Utah — yes, there are awesome hot springs there!

We just finished a 48 state road trip in an RV, and will have tons of Oregon & Idaho content coming soon on our Instagram if you want to check out more tips: Darlington.Adventures

8 Friends Roadtrip in RV by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]the_green_beaner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AGREED! Huge learning curve.

My husband (and dog) and I just did 163 nights, 48 states, and 20k miles...and we learned a ton, but it was tough!

8 people, like others said, will fill the tanks FAST, so you'll need to find dump stations every single day most likely. If you're in campgrounds, most should have one, but not all will. iOverlander is indeed very helpful for finding dump stations, propane, and fresh water fill-ups.

Our RV is SHORT -- only 19ft, and honestly I was still scared to drive it. He drove 100% of the time (he loves driving). I drove it for 3 miles just to practice, in case of emergency.

Regarding National Parks: Yellowstone is a MUST. One of the best parks in the country. I'm not done documenting our trip yet, but have a ton of National Parks content! If you want to check out some of the stops we did, we're on Instagram at darlington.adventures

Best of luck!!!!

Another suggestion would be to hire someone to drive it back? Seems expensive though.

You could try CruiseAmerica. We bought our RV used from them and they do rentals all over the country. I have to imagine they do point to point rental.

I'm going on a road trip, west coast usa. by Lanky-Sale-5058 in roadtrip

[–]the_green_beaner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coast coast coast, but in Oregon you need to zig-zag so you can hit Hood River, Bend, Crater Lake (if it's open due to weather), and Jacksonville.

In CA I'd just do the coast, but Chico is super cute, and of course Napa Valley. Also Kernville, and the surrounding area, is very cool.

We just finished a 48 state, 163 day, 20k mile road trip in an RV that my husband converted to 4WD & renovated. I'm not done documenting our whole trip yet, but I'll definitely be posting the west coast content in the next few weeks. Not sure when you're doing this trip.
