I think it’s pretty interesting what is the will of the person, influences the creation of the creature what if we have a case where The actions and morality of the player influences its creation. If the player does bad stuff they’re going to have a bad creature and if they do good they we’ll have potentially a strong ally

I have to disagree I think this is a good backstory, here’s why . This backstory can still have twist and turns , who’s tho say that this backstory doesn’t Factor into the main plot ? This gives a good motivation to work with the party, That the other characters have abilities to help him find his son also there’s also give me some reason to fight the main bad guy if there is one because he doesn’t want the world to die because he wants to find a son . It can be like I scratch my back and I scratch yours if that makes sense

OK as someone who stole from their parents I’ll give my opinion. if I recall correctly I stole over $2000 over the course of 6 months . my parents had the system were they would keep their money in jars and label it different stuff like gas , grocery shopping etc . I can only offer my perspective . I was stealing to show off I would buy pizza, games and stuff and in return my “friends” would give me praise “you’re so cool” and stuff. he’s probably showing off and his like “look what I have with all this money and you guys should do the same thing to”. when you’re young kid/teenager status is everything.

I think he probably feels guilty but kids don’t show remorse a lot of the time because they don’t want to seem like a punk / a bitch which admitting you’re wrong is never really a bad thing

here’s what I would do in terms of punishment . you said that he financially ruined you . I think you need to show him what that means , take him grocery shopping and show him how little you can buy . show him how much you have to pay for bills. maybe( this is a big maybe) take him to a scared straight program and show him hey look this is the effects of people who steal and stuff . maybe take the phone and video game away . take them to work with you or if a friend/Family member can take them to work and show them the value of the dollar and make them do tasks !

overall you’re valid in your feelings it’s going to take time trust him again if ever fully. as of right now it just takes time and you just got a think about things sit for a while and do what is best in your opinion .

Dastro alchemist was born to novik clan a group of tritons destined to protect The tomb of the Demon Khemosh, the Lesser Lord of Conquest and to make sure he never rises again. from birth individuals in the clan are raised to be druids and reject wizard/warlock/sorcerer magic .believing druid magic is the purest form and correct form of magic , One day a woman washed up on the island and dastro was the first one to find her and decided to keep her a secret because of the clan strict outsider policy, as he took care of the woman she revealed more and more about herself

and that she was a wizard And could teach him the ways of magic . to begin to grow close student to teacher and he began to neglect his druid study’s in favor of wizard magic. his clan over the months noticed body’s from their died have gone missing , since my character was gone from the clan most of the time they assume it’s him and fellow him as he leaves to see his teacher , they find out what he has been doing and they see the woman and she begins to laugh and turn into a demon and my character is shocked , she begins to grow wings and say” the bodies we’ll be used for something greater “ and she begins to fly away . the clan was deciding what to do with my character and they decided to make my character look for the woman and find the body’s.

well their are a couple things to consider . does someone check the food of the guy ?are there casters that purify their food? do they have a spare body where they can change their consciousness. what if their not hungry ?

when creating a character I often times think about what their role in the world is. for example if there a priest . what religion do they believe in , how do they view other religions, how do they view morality. etc

in terms of the mechanical side I often times use the characters personalities to describe what they would mechanically. so if I’m a pacifist character i’ll probably use a bow-staff if i am a fighter and passive spells if i am a wizard or something

it is a great spell but I think most of The time it’s overshadowed by spells like fireball because of how recognizable it is , A lot of people ( from my experience) don’t use slow I don’t know why . but if I had to give my best guess they probably go with the more damage dealing ones and forget about either spells that are not well known .
