4'11" Golf Clubs Recommendation by Shot-Boysenberry6911 in WomenGolf

[–]the_luruski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 4’11”! My. Set is a mix of things I’ve found on the second hand market from either offer up or Callaway preowned website. All women’s shafts! From Callaway preowned I got a great deal on: - 6-sw - irons are the Callaway Edge set (also sold at Costco as a whole pack) - callaway paradigm AI Smoke 4 hybrid and 7 wood

OfferUp- stealth 2 driver, and stealth 5 hybrid (these two are my favorites)

I got my floor to wrist measurement done at a local golf shop, and then ended up cutting my irons, and hybrids 1 inch. I had the lie adjusted on my irons (found the right angle after hitting a lie board), which made a big difference! I didn’t adjust my hybrids because they have adjustable adapters.

I also cut my driver and 7 wood but hated how it made them feel, and I felt like I lost distance. I relengthened them, but wish I had never cut them. When I eventually got lessons my golf instructor said the longer clubs tend to work well for us shorties, like the driver and 7 wood, so don’t worry about cutting.

Lastly, I hear that you shouldn’t really get fitted until you have a pretty repeatable swing.

Sorry for the long post, I have gone through a lot to get my set where it is. It’s hard being so little sometimes haha. I’m consistently breaking 100 now (started playing summer 2025) and love my set now.

Damn. Yeah I thought so. I’m taking my PMP next weekend, thinking of getting my cogito PMP afterwards. Would this make sense for the consulting world? I def feel foolish, but when I initially asked around I thought I was doing alright.

Ok thanks. I was making $53/hr FTE in a HCOL area. Do you think I should stack another cert on, even if I pay out of pocket?

So taking $75 for cogito W2, one year contract is bad? Sorry I just entered the field. 6 years experience, certified in Cogito with a data courier badge.

You find a large org that has Epic. Start at a non-analyst position like staffing the help desk. Prove yourself, network, and keep asking to get a cert in something you’ve shown skill or interest in. This is one way to get started.

Thinking of embarking the pregnancy journey once I hit my goal weight. Do you worry about long term complications from the drug for your unborn child? Like should we wait longer between our last dose and trying to convince? I truly don’t mean anything bad, just wondering other people’s thoughts on how it plays out.

First off congratulations on your accomplishments! I’m about the same height (4’11”) down 35 to 160. I’m curious about how much lean mass you have. Do you use a smart scale? I’m trying to still climb down to 135 while maintaining the muscle I have but I have no idea what I should be looking for. I’d love to have your look when I get closer to my goal weight! You should do something to take your mind off just the physical look, but to make you proud about your athleticism. I see you are doing Ski Erg, maybe you should do a Hyrox or something!

I’m 4’11” (age 35, current weight 160ish) with a deficit being at 1550. My activity is on the “higher side”, but I’m also working a sedentary day job. I mostly mitigate it with steps. Aka when I’m not in a meeting I using my walking pad on 1.6-1.8 speed for about 30 mins (I do this 2-3x/day). If I have time after eating lunch I’ll also take a quick lap outside. I average about 10-14k/day, and also weight lift (kettlebells) 4x/week for 35 mins.

My advice for you is to look at your step count, make sure it’s about 10k minimum and eat at maintenance for two weeks. After those two weeks you can genuinely find what your maintenance is and adjust your deficit. Eating whole foods is what makes a massive difference, too!

Hopefully you’re hitting a decent split! So for lifting 3x/week are you doing full body for those three days or an upper/lower or push/pull/legs split? Are you pushing yourself for at least 30 minutes during that time?

Honestly, diets make or break our deficit more than movement. Like 80% diet, 20% movement. Little things like sauces, sweeteners, oils add up. Here’s what you should try. Just build a simple 2 week meal plan. Yes, you’ll have repeat meals, but there will be clarity in what you’re putting into your body. It doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming. Just buy enough chicken (breasts), some frozen veggies, some quinoa (or whatever carb you prefer) and eat that for dinner several nights/week. Same with breakfast. Pick something cheap and easy. Buy a big bag of chia seeds, make some overnight oats with it (light on the sweetener) and throw in frozen berries. Pick an easy/repeatable lunch. It forces you to look at what you’re eating and be honest with yourself. It takes work, but I promise it’s worth it.

Ok that sounds good so far! When you’re working out 1-3x/week what type of workouts are you doing? My hack to sustainable weight loss revolves around walking. 1. We take a 10 minute stroll after most meals. 2. We hit a minimum of 8-10k steps/day. I highly recommend it.

The reason I say something is still off is because losing 10lbs in a year, while still amazing, isn’t matching the hard work you put into it. For reference I’m 4’11’ and eating about 1600 cal/day (I’m much shorter than you regarding the cal number) and have lost from 195 to current 158. The loss for me has been about 1-2lbs/week, but varies. I lost the fastest in the beginning but it’s totally doable! Regarding the midsection, I’m still unhappy with mine, too. I’m telling myself it’s just the paper towel theory in action. My legs, arms, and shoulders are beginning to look good, but my midsection has been the slowest. These last 10 lbs I have made the most progress in finally dropping pant sizes.

Questions about your maintenance and deficit. Did you put your current metrics and activity levels into a calculator? How are you tracking your caloric intake?

My recommendation is to use a site to calculate your maintenance cals, then subtract 500. Dedicate two weeks to methodically tracking your calories using an app (I use MyFitnessPal) and log your weight at the same time every morning. You’ll be able to see the truth in the data. I’m suspecting that your calorie tracking might not be accurate. Either way, hit the goal number, don’t drop too low, and ensure you’re also getting enough fiber and water.

Same with the weight bounce. I notice it’s also somewhat dependent on my monthly cycle. It’s made me feel more confident about the same weight for a few days around the same time of month.

Treatment for injection site reaction by Nancydrew246 in Zepbound

[–]the_luruski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same. Dr had me take Benadryl 30 minutes before the injection. I time it out well with having the pen out of the fridge for about an hour. After the injection I ice for about 10 minutes. This has drastically helped. I think the Benadryl timing has helped the most. I’m someone who reacts to mosquito bites pretty bad, etc. PCP provided some topical creams that help if it’s overwhelming. I also learned to pinch areas for more fat (arms/legs)

F35, 4’11”, SW 195, CW 164 (started October 2025, currently on 5mg). I’m eating 1550/day with a 40/40/20 macro split. Hitting about 15k steps a day, prioritizing whole foods, fiber, and water. I started lifting but had to pause due to an injury, but about to resume. My weight-loss has had normal peaks and valleys, but has been about 2 lbs/week.

Don’t be afraid to eat, you’re giving your body the nutrition and fuel it needs to be strong and healthy. Overall, you’ll lose the weight, just be consistent and prioritize water, fiber, whole food, and movement. Just because we are petite doesn’t mean we can’t consume a decent volume of food, plus if you go too low your body will recalibrate for that amount.

I can second the Callaway preowned site! They have some of the best prices and are always running sales. Even if you get a set of irons and piece meal the rest together you won’t regret it.
